Not really He responded to some Jets fan on Twitter saying he wouldn’t play for the Jets for $60 million. Well, he essentially turned down $70 million from the Steelers. I’d still love to have him. He’d be amazing for Darnold’s development. One of the most patient RB’s I’ve ever seen and is a fantastic receiver. Both out of the backfield and split out wide. He’s a guy who can give you 1200-1300 yards on the ground and another 600-800 through the air. He’s basically a bigger Marshall Faulk. You've ever heard of the average lifespan of a RB in the NFL today? Pass. He would be junk after year 2. I don’t care about keeping him after year 2. This is all about giving Darnold a great player out of the backfield for a couple of seasons while he develops. Run Bell’s ass into the ground for 2 years and then release him before he hits 30. Simple

He’d be 27 by next season. I say trade Powell & a 4th for him.
Construct a contact that front loads his deal so at age 30, we could cut him without much issue. By that time, you can give Sam his deal.
You go all in when you have your franchise QB on a rookie deal.

This team needs so much more than a RB right now. If this was the 2020 season I'd be right there with ya. It is not though.

Simple That would be the plan. The Jets would use him for 3 years and have to cut him so they could resign Jamal Adams and Darnold If the Jets can get him for a 3rd and player like say Crowell I say go for it. At least give Darnold a fighting chance Darnold can dump the ball off to him.

No thanks. Didnt he diss us this past offseason? Not really He responded to some Jets fan on Twitter saying he wouldn’t play for the Jets for $60 million. Clear and succinct. When Manish is trying to pour ice water down m y pants, UT comes across with the goods.
