Not sure how that coaching staff will come here with fucking idiot in control.
What makes you think Minnesota will let Barr go?
I'd rather see who would give a 4th for Lee, but I'm for trading him.
I like the draft picks, though I'd rather see where we are and if we can get 2nd rounds in return for trading out of our top 3/4/5 pick.

Minnesota pretty much decided to let guys like Barr and Waynes walk when they gave huge money to Cousins, Diggs, Hunter, Rhodes and Kendricks.

Also, reports are rolling in that the Jets are looking for a big fish at HC and will give him plenty of say in personnel.
Mike Garofalo reported pretty much the same thing on NFL Network before the Texans game.

Wasn’t there some report recently that Bowles had a big say in who was drafted?

Wasn’t there some report recently that Bowles had a big say in who was drafted? Yes ... the guy from the News, Manish Mehta, implied that in a column. He gave a couple of examples ... that Bowles' coaches wanted the fucking idiot to trade up for University of Tennessee running back Alvin Kamara in the 2017 draft ... but he didn't ... another thing Mehta wrote is that he took ArDarius Stewart in the third round last year because then-offensive coordinator John Morton wanted him. But this story has problems. When Bowles was asked about the column he said that he wasn't aware of problems between him and the GM ... Some of the media believe the story was planted by the fucking idiot's people because he is looking to protect his job by blaming Bowles and his coaches for the bad picks and signings ... the poor fucking idiot ... all the bad draft picks and terrible free agent wastes weren't his fault ... the poor fucking idiot. Which is another reason I wish him the worst ... the piece of shit doesn't have the balls to take it on himself. Here's the column ... www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/ny-sports-maccagnan-bowles-jets-relationship-mehta-20181206-story.htmlMost of the media, including Beningo, Costello and Boomer, are backing keeping the fucking idiot. The Johnsons probably don't want to start completely over again ... there are all the Jets going free agent that have to be evaluated ... the need to build around Sam ... so it looks like they'll keep the fucking idiot for two more years and see what happens. I don't expect him to be extended next season ... the fucking idiot's ass is on the clock in 2019. This is the way it looks.

Can someone explain to me why I should want Shannahan?
Yes, he would be an upgrade from Bowles but when I hear "big game hunting" I dont think Mike Shannahan.
Im done with the coordinator crap shoot like most of you guys. But Shanny isnt the only one with a track record on the offensive side of the ball. Remember, he inherited Elway and had Steve Young when he was on OC in SF.

Other than that not a bad plan. As would I. I was mulling this over last night; I think the plan should be to shore up the middle of the line first. Darnold excels at rolling away from pressure, not climbing the pocket. Like most other QBs, he gets rattled by A gap pressure. Draft the best edge guy in the first, best C and OG thereafter, fill with BPA after that. JMO

Wasn’t there some report recently that Bowles had a big say in who was drafted? On draft day he was sitting in a corner eating cookies singing "Whoooooo are you?? Who? Who?"
