A QB is def going top 3 - so Jets should have a shot at one edge guy. Not convinced of that but I certainly hope your right. They could take Allen or trade back and get more picks. In the past 15+ years a QB has failed to go Top 3 only once - 2013(?) when EJ Manuel was the first QB off at #11 or somesuch. And there have been plenty of shit QBs that went in that top-3 zone: Jamarcus Russell, Vince Young, Blake Bortles. So the odds are heavy that a QB is off by our pick. I’d also add this draft features an unusual number of QB-needy teams that don’t have QB-capable picks. I mean they COULD all sit tight - but I think at least one is moving up. And given the “it’s a QB league” trend, it could even be two.

Never watched the guy play for even 1 minute. Is he a Russell Wilson/Doug Flutie type or just a short dude whos gonna get completely destroyed the 1st time a MLB tees off on him?

I have never seen him in a game but watched vids when he announced - he looks like he will get destroyed if a defender ever gets on him. Waterbug-quick but has ‘college QB’ written all over him IMHO.

Klingsbury swears his entire draft on this guy...he has an NFL Draft? talk is cheap.

So would we march on the Jets offices if this is how the draft goes? That would personally be my worst case scenario. Top two edge rushers gone, and they draft a DT. At that point, either be furiously trying to trade down, or just "reach" for Jonah Williams. If he turns out to be a stud, no one will care where you drafted him. From that article: Whatchu talkin bout Bucky? JetCompulsion! is not going to like this one bit. FlAmperz

The best case scenario is that someone either trades up with us. The Jets could recoup the picks they gave up to get Sam.
The second best scenario would be for a team to trade up ahead of us to get a quarterback and we get an edge rusher.

I think our best bet is trading down to the Jaguars ... they're in need of a QB ... but will they give up numbers 7 & 38 for our three? They have 69, 95, and 103 behind 38. So maybe they will ... But I don't see the Giants doing business because of their numbers. After numbers 6 & 37, they're in the hundreds with two 4ths and a fifth rounder.

If we are the best option, I can’t see them not trading up with us. I know the history... or lack of... but they need a QB and we may be their best option to get one.

If Gettleman didnt want Sam theres no way they trade with us for a qb this year. Then again they didnt take Sam so they obviously dont know what they're doing.
