Nice. But I prioritize Paradis over anyone right now. Report says he opened up talks again with broncos. Maybe just a power play to get his number higher from Jets but as far as I'm concerned Paradis would be the most important signing for Darnold and the offense.

Also giving this guy 17 mil probably takes us out or Bell running unless he's open to a 2 year deal or something

Essentially three year deal. Not a huge commitment. Safe signing.

Essentially three year deal. Not a huge commitment. Safe signing. 17 million a year? I don’t care about the money, but 17 mil a year is a ton. If they give Mosley 17 mil then just Sign Bell to whatever and fuck it. Also shows how worthless he is at drafting and how they feel about Lee. And Can this moron GM get Darnold a few offensive playmakers?

And Can this moron GM get Darnold a few offensive playmakers? It's a ton but the risk is low. Trumaine Johnson's contract is far worse for us. Mosley can and may be off the books by the time Darnold gets his next contract. I see what Mac is doing. He's budgeting for that year so that he can rollover as much as possible to Darnold while keeping a core intact. His poor drafting is what made this necessary however. But if he makes the moves to fix it, like he appears to be doing, then that's the mark of a good businessman. Get Paradis, a decent CB and call it a day. Fill out the rest of the roster with bargain players and rookies. Go into the draft with zero glaring holes so you can continue to take BPA. At this point pretty much any position makes sense in round one and we will have at least one of three very good prospects staring us in the face. Bosa, Williams, Allen - would eventually replace Barr's or Mosley's big contract if he pans out. Greedy would replace Johnson's big contract if he pans out. Any OL taken would eventually replace an Osemele/Paradis big contract. Having guys like this also makes us more attractive to free agents next year.. not that we will have the cap space.

“But the fact is that this roster is currently deficient because of Maccagnan’s struggles. His poor drafting has helped lead the Jets into this situation, where they lack talent on multiple levels. A lack of impact free agents hasn’t helped, either. Remember, this team has won just 14 games over the past three seasons, which got head coach Todd Bowles fired. Maccagnan apparently kept his job by selling Christopher Johnson on his vision for the future. But if part of that vision included scrapping some of his former work and hitting restart – in at least one small area – after an already poor four years, that should have been a big red flag for the Jets.” Fucking idiot.

The Jets are nowhere near the Rams or the Eagles. Not even close. Rams and Eagles have playoff talent rosters. I don’t know who Albert breer is, but apparently he’s a fucking idiot. Maybe related to Maccagnan.

17 million a year for a LB who doesnt sack the QB.
We are going to waste "cheap" Darnold.
Macc is worthless.
At least this guarantees he is fired this year.

Starting to get a 2010 Jets feel. A different type of team but a wildcard is in the picture.

Meh Luke Kuechly doesn’t rack up sacks either but I don’t know who would argue that he’s not an impact player who is incredibly important to Carolina’s defense. You can easily make the argument that Mosely is only 2nd to Kuechly as the best ILB in the game today. It’s a big contract, but it helps make our LB corps all-world and we still have the ability to sign Paradis and Bell. The Jets right now are on track to having their best offseason since 2008.
