Colts should have done so much more to protect this guy from taking a beating back there. This story sounds familiar. Yeah ... media says that for his early years in the league his offensive line was terrible. Which after last night makes me think of Sam. He has to be protected.

If he's physically unable to go, I get it. However, why wait until the 3rd pre-season game to drop this on them. Possibly he had some preliminary discussions with the staff and management this was the way he was leaning because of injuries but if this is out of the blue it lets a lot of people down, teammates, ticket holders, etc.

Some of these guys never recover from that mentally even when they heal up and the protection gets better. I always thought he was a good guy and had so much potential. Shame.

In between the lines he's saying "The steroids aren't working any more". Plus, as you point out, Colts Blue gives him PTSD. He's a tough leader; if he gets free he could Fitzmagic his way to a ring. So we got that to stay tuned into.

The Colts probably asked him to keep it quiet until they finished their 2019 ticket sales.

I’m thinking the NFL is so much more of a continual painful grind than we ever imagine.

I’m thinking the NFL is so much more of a continual painful grind than we ever imagine. True but I think a bigger factor is these guys make a ton of money in a relatively short amount of time and simply dont need to play for long if they dont want to. Especially compared to years ago. By all accounts he is a smart kid so I would imagine he has enough money and can do whatever he wants.

If you have enough money for 10 lifetimes why increase your chances of being a mess by age 50.

Kenny O still hears the pass rush in is sleep. Talk about a rag doll. I thought of him when I typed my post. He had the thousand yard stare. Brutal. Statue legs and no protection, bad combo. Some speed in those legs, a little protection, he could have been something other than a footnote to old Jet fans. I wear his Jersey to games, lol. People get a huge kick out of it.
