I'd like everyone to remember how Drew Brees was seen going into NO. Dude was seen the same exact way and he only had one amazing season. That was with a prime LT as well! Take cousins build around him and all of sudden it looks nuts that he was allowed to get to FA. Name me two marquee players outside of cousins that was in Washington this year. I'll wait.

Most of this is for show. I'm not actually that self-righteous (i hope not)... but yes, i do think you're really underselling Lamar. He's a natural at the game and he's so damn fast... He doesn't need to be Aaron Rodgers or Carson Wentz, he can just be Lamar and win games. I hear you, but it takes a really outside of the box type offense to make player like Lamar work. Do you really think the Jets can provide that? I don't. Tough to say on the offense part. Shannahan system is heavy on the QB being mobile. He also made RG3 look like a good and I think Jackson is a better athlete and passer. Also seems to have a better work ethic than Griffin. I think the biggest thing I see in Jackson is that despite being a ridiculously fast runner when he's evading defenders in the backfield he is always looking down field to make a passing play. Footwork needs work to improve his consistency. Jets things we all make awful calls in the draft forum. If you are going to rag on him for Lynch and Pettigrew then you have give him credit for hunt and Johnson too.

Hes not a 6th rounder, but he is definitely way behind Rosen, Darnold, and Mayfield. The chances he ever is productive as Cousins at the nfl level is extremely slim imo. I agree with you that he is behind Rosen and darnold. I have no love for Mayfield over him. Completion percentage was 5 points better with a much better supporting cast. Louisville was probably the worst surrounding cat of any of the top guys. And that's saying something cause UCLA's line was a dumpster fire the whole year. Paradis get your ass in here and help a brother out lol

Give me Lamar Jackson. I'd be okay with cousins but I am really a huge fan of Jackson. You can blame Paradis for this. It's his fault I even started watching this guy lol Lamar Jackson is a scrub. Maybe I'd draft him in the 6th round in the hopes of converting him to a rb Hyperbole if ever I heard it. The fact that Allen and Mayfield are mentioned in the top ten but this is even mentioned about Jackson is ridiculous.

Not as smitten with Mayfield as you guys. But definitely would love to have Lamar Jackson. Think he is underrated because Louisville is horrid. Speaking of underrated, I feel like cousins could be a Drew Brees situation. Really Brees was not considered don't HOF guy when he was let go and his stats are eerily similar to cousins. Here is my problem with Cousins. I've seen him play great. I've never seen him play great in a clutch situation. In fact, I've seen him shit the bed in crunch time. The Saints game is a great example. Up by 15 very late in the 4th quarter and he couldn't convert a first down to keep the ball away from Brees. The Saints tie it and leave a minute on the clock with no timeouts for Skins. Cousins gets close to FG range and then incredible gets called for intentional grounding. And on then next play I'm pretty sure he was sacked. Game goes to OT. Saints win. That game was a microcosm of what Cousins is. He is excellent in the early part of the game with nothing on the line and you need to hope for a blowout because if the other team keeps it close, Cousins can not be counted on to make a play to win the game. I think Brees had the same kind of knocks on him. Washington is a shit show so I feel like he could make a big jump with Morton. Just think he is getting crushed for more subjective stuff and might be getting overanalyzed. I'd of course prefer to draft a QB but we may have played ourselves out of one

I'm OK with that as well. I'm really warming to it as well. The kid has special skills and after watching a couple of interviews with him, I like him. He seems focused on being a football player, rather than focused on being a celebrity. In other words he is not like Cam Newton. Plus, I really think John Morton could build an offense around Jackson's skills, and as a rookie we could keep McCown as a starter and mentor and then install Lamar Jackson packages for games to slowly work him into being a pro. That way he would not have too much on his plate at one time. He is a highly underrated prospect. He is not a really raw prospect like Allen. He isn't a fully polished guy but he is accurate and can pass from the pocket. He ends up having to do everything for Louisville and so people just focus on the flash plays so they forget that he actually is a great QB overall

Josh Allen is the worst guy we could pick among the names mentioned for the first round. It would also tell me that Mac can't assess quarterbacks properly putting his faith blindly in physical characteristics and the ever entrancing "upside"

Why? I watched a lot of the game yesterday and was not overly impressed with either Qb. Mayfield did look better then Rudolph but neither of the defenses is worth a shit. Not a big cfb watcher though. One play. In the 4th quarter, he got flushed out of the pocket spun to his right and as he was back peddling he kept his eyes downfield and threw a strike across the field to the left sideline to a wide open receiver who ran it dien the sideline for a TD. Great escapability, great vision, great arm talent in one nice little package. In truth, I'm trying to convince myself that he's the guy because we're not getting Rosen or Darnold and I don't know what to make of Allen and Jackson and my man-love for Falk is waning. I actually didn't like Mayfield coming into the year, don't love his height. But I've watched him a fair bit this year and every time I've watched I've been impressed with his ability to make plays, extend plays, and his arm and accuracy is better than I thought. A taller bigger less dooshy Johnny Football. _ I'd take Jackson. Think the guy is criminally underrated because the team around him blows and he has to do everything himself. Risen is the only clear guy I'd take before him if he was clear medically and his leadership stuff isn't truly a big deal.

Listening to Bowles press conference he was asked if Petty was injured and he answered that Petty had a full week of practice, not a denial that he was hurt. Then he was asked if the backup QB position could change and he said yes. To me it sounded like he was hurt. Yup, its the only logical explanation for Hack being active ahead of him, but then why the fuck doesn't Bowles just come out and say Petty is hurt. Didn't want to tip his hand in the riveting QB competition we have going on for this Super Bowl bound team

Honestly if you got Adams/Cook/Feeny would you swap it for our really draft. Cause that's what I would have done if in Mac's shoes. Bingo. I would have much preferred that then all of the trade downs. Would of even had our choice between Feeney and Eflein. I don't hate this draft by any stretch. But when seeing what we passed on I can't help but be a little pissed at Mac. The only thing I can think on the Cook front is that they are trying to clean up there locker room and he might be the polar opposite in that regard
