Made a 10lb rack of prime rib because turkey is gay. Lads, if you ordered prime rib at Peter Luger's, it would have sucked compared to what I produced. Froze the leftovers for another time. I am a God. Happy Thanksgiving fellas! I always wanted to try smoking a rib roast, how did you prepare?

Rex Heuermann, 59, was arrested at his home on 1st Ave. in Massapequa Park, multiple sources told The Post.
The suspect is due in court in hours, according to another source who did not confirm the identity.
The arrest is tied to the so-called “Gilgo Four,” women found wrapped in burlap within days of each other from late 2010, and not the other six who were later eyed as possibly being connected, the source said.
Multiple sources first confirmed the arrest to News 12 Long Island, which said that 1st Ave. was “just flooded with police.”

Fears of a serial killer emerged when the body of Melissa Barthelemy, 24, was found along Ocean Parkway on Dec. 11, 2010 — with the remains of three other women found in the following days.

By spring 2011, the number of bodies had climbed to 10 — eight women as well as an unidentified man and toddler.
The bodies were found during a search for missing Jersey City-based sex worker Shannan Gilbert, whose body wasn’t found until December 2011, a year after the Gilgo Four.
John Ray, an attorney for Gilbert’s family, told News 12 that he “had a very strong, credible tip that they were about to close in on an arrest” around a week ago.

hey guys hope all is well.
I haven't been feeling well for months and finally figured out what the problem is/was. Long story short, ive been running occasional low grade fevers since the fall, and being a relatively healthy guy would always get checked for covid and come back negative. Around early spring i found blood in my urine and was treated with antibiotics, which took care of the fevers. I did continue to have other symptoms though and after additional testing (ct scans, colonoscopy, blood tests, etc) they discovered a mass in my colon. Things moved quickly from there i had surgery at columbia/presbyterian in NYC, I had a brilliant surgeon who God Bless her helped me get through a brutal process. The tumor had grown out of my colon and into my bladder, she recruited a world recognized urologist for his part of the surgery.
It took 6 1/2 hours, the tumor was much bigger than anticipated (think 3+ lb melon and a nightmare to behold, i saw pictures) and cost me half my bladder and 6 inches of my colon, and required a huge incision in my gut, but they got it all! Two fantastic surgeons doing what they do at the highest level. the other great news in all lymph nodes are clear. Met with oncologist and the fact that the nodes are clear takes me from stage 4 to stage 2, leaning towards chemo because of shear enormity of the mass and the possibility of microscopic cells being lose to be on safe side.
Im 3 weeks into life's latest adventure and some are more fun than others, but I want to beg you all to get your colonoscopies, this can be found before it gets as advanced as my situation. I'm very optimistic about my future because technically from the surgery standpoint Im cured, chemo to be safe. I'm blessed at this point.

ok as my obsession continues...my cable company gave me discovery+ for free for 6 months, the podcast team has a show which premiered yesterday, Unraveled, the visuals and added discussion is worth the watch for those interested. Here's a spoiler, the go to Burke's house, knock on the door, and ask to speak with him, someone answers from behind the door, "he doesn't live here."
LOL I had two flashbacks, first to Chevy Chase, "Candygram," and second to Otter in Animal House, "We're doing the dishes." The two look at eacho ther and say, tha was his voice.

hey guys, do you remember the thread from JI 10 or so years ago re: the Long Island Serial Killer story breaking out? I remember some talk people thought it could be a cop, anyway there is a podcast out called Unraveled and it is really something to hear. The y point the finger at former police chief of suffolk co. James Burke, and his association with Spota i think former DA. What i found amazing was these two first met during another horrific LI murder that of a kid named John Pius back in '79. Ill never forget that story as he was suffocated with stones and it was in the papers for a long time. Burke was then 14 and testified against the defendants at trial, prosicuted by Spota (not sure if thst is spelled correctly). Burke was a bad guy according to this podcast, drugs, hookers, beatings, all sorts of things. I recommend listening to anyone interested in this case. Sounds interesting. Got a link? I wanna listen. 32Green was this that crooked cop you worked with? www.radio.com/podcasts/unraveled-long-island-serial-killer-47025in listen on google podcasts...after the latest episode I really think they have someone in mind and are trying to finesse it somehow

The interesting thing about Burke is that I had been hearing about him for years before Gilgo broke. A friend of mine (ex-NYPD) had a relative who was framed by Spota and Burke who were indeed connected going back to the John Pius case. He basically told us all the bad things about Burke even before he got jammed up for beating up the kid who broke into his car (and trying to cover it up). It was all out there, the drugs, hookers etc. Because of Spota's influence, this guy basically had free reign in Suffolk for years and Suffolk had a real rep. for terrible corruption and cronyism. The retired cop reported Burke and Spota to anyone he could, the Feds/media etc. over the course of many years. Nobody was interested. Supposedly when the kid broke into Burkes car he took a bag containing some really vile, violent porn and sex toys. His girlfriend at the time was an actual crack-head hooker. A real, genuine sociopath. I have little doubt he was involved if not totally responsible. Unfortunately, as a cop, he was good at hiding his tracks and keeping evidence to a minimum. Plus, the Feds and the Suffolk police fucked up the investigation from the start and to this day I think they all want it to go away because the whole case reflects negatively on all of them. I think one of the people who did the podcast is friends with the kid who broke into his car, he is in the first episode and I think Burke went to jail for beating the crap out of him. Talk of snuff films being behind all this, crazy story
