20lbs in two months is great. Good for you, bud. I haven't seen 215 since college. Weighed myself this morning and was 241. 220 is the goal. Weight has melted off since I stopped drinking beer and I'm talking high octane IPA's. My doctor suggested I get down to 180 and I was like lol you kidding me? My weight settles around 250 almost all belly fat. I can work my ass off to lose 10 lbs and seem to gain it back overnight. I have a gym membership and it hasn't helped at all. I am thinking about stopping by the gym to see how it is... Work all you want, it will only help so much. Diet was key for me, continues to be. I've dropped 20 in just over a month, all with portion control. To get down from a similar high you had (270), I went low carb for a very long time, settled in around 240. Then after I retired, I picked up cycling and that helped a lot to keep me in the 230 range (220s in the summer). Now I'm down to 210 and I'm good with that. Only thing that worries me is what the summer will bring; I can't afford to replace all my cycling gear again lol. Concentrate on basically making your stomach smaller. Keep the calories reasonable, but watch your portion size especially. After a month, you will see a huge difference in your appetite, and the pounds will start to melt off.

The increasingly longer swing of the pendulum to conservatism is making it just as dangerous as liberalism. Lots of what Maher says that attracts "conservatives" now should be considered as moderate pragmatism. The ultras on the right are finding that problematic, and therefore that makes them dangerous clowns as well, just like their lefty counterparts.

The positive spin on this is you get to have another 10 seconds of pure, unadulterated, bliss as they push propofol again in 3 months. You're welcome Spoken like a dude who hasnt had a colonoscopy. I wouldnt call it blissful, but the ease of falling asleep was the real cool thing about it. Certainly not worth the whole day of prepping. 5 back door, 4 front entrance (9/11 GERD). Makes all the prep worth it lol.

If they upgrade their secondary, he's going to cause havoc using Parsons.

I was actually given pictures. You DONT want to see them. Well, its no secret I'm full of shit. And today it was proven. Procedures over, I wake up, nurse comes in looks at the screen and chirps "Ok great, he didnt remove anything!" then leaves to get the Dr. I'm thinking "Yah boooooy, 5 more years before I have to worry about this again". Dr. comes in and says "For some reason the top of your colon by the appendix didnt cleanse fully. Everything else was fine". I'm like...wtf dude...what does that mean? I did the full cleanse and was shitting clear water for hours....He's like..I'm gonna need you to do this again in 3 months. So basically, the new fangled pills (instead of drinking all the prep which I had done successfully for several scopes) didnt completely clean me out even though I was shatting spring water. I was a zombie in the car on the way home, my wifne couldnt get a word out of me. So I'm kinda freaked out and pissed. The positive spin on this is you get to have another 10 seconds of pure, unadulterated, bliss as they push propofol again in 3 months. You're welcome

I've been working on getting the front and rear wheel lifts down. I'll get there eventually. I'm not ashamed to walk over a feature I can't clear, but some of the guys I ride with are so they push themselves more than me (and don't always succeed). I drop most of them on the climbs and descents anyway due to my roadie experience/conditioning. I dunno about you, but as I get older, the pussy factor has increased (insert French joke). The smallest risk is amplified in my head because I know the smallest injury will take months to get over. I've crashed every week, and every time landed on my hip which has a perpetual bruise. For me it's relative. I'm willing to hit downhills really fast, but drops and stepups gives me some serious buttpuckering; I'm sure I can hit many of them, but I also know that one I don't is going to ruin a large part of my year. Sucks.

I struggle mightily with these. I also don't put in the practice that's required. So there's that. If you're on an MTB that might be a bigger challenge than on a smaller/lighter BMX bike. Trying to get the manual down...really tricky. I've been working on getting the front and rear wheel lifts down. I'll get there eventually. Made a Yolo decision I was heavy into BMX when I was in my teens. I was always out with friends trying to learn tricks. Today, practically every town has a skatepark I would have died for back then. Anyways, I always refused to influence/force my kids to do what I like, I only force them to do a sport/activity, anything, but get off your ass. Well it backfired since my 14 year old son signed up for a BMX class on weekends. I was like awesome. It's kind of far away, but I told the wife I got this. First lesson I realized this is gonna suck. Every Satruday afternoon 30 minute drive for a 90 minute course, I can't go home so I stayed. In the end I said fuck it, if I have to stay here I'm joining the class. So, yeah the 50 year old is hanging out with the youngsters. Got a few weird looks then they saw I could handle myself. I thought this could be a last chance to do something with my kid, he's psyched, so am I. Stay tuned for my "broke both my collarbones" thread. media.giphy.com/media/MQEBfbPco0fao/giphy.gifNailed my first 180 bunyhop mid ramp. Showed those pimple popping cunts who's boss. Next step: getting some air. I struggle mightily with these. I also don't put in the practice that's required. So there's that.

Bumping this thread Friend offered me this, and it's very good. Over time, I feel need some umph to my whiskey wether it's peat or cask strengths. All the middle of the road stuff like Aberlour is too bland for me. For pure marketing reasons, I prolly would never have bought this bottle with it's wannabe viking typo, but this stuff is great. Really nice Port finish. monwhisky.fr/3811-large_default/glenallachie-12-ans-ruby-port-wood-finish-48.jpgYou're drinking the wrong ones, then. Try an Aberlour A'bunadh. Something to be said for enjoying a nunaced drink that isn't obsessed with punching your palate (looking at you, Laphroaig).
