Schefter said that basically none of the GMs in the league thought Rosen was the best QB. Funny how almost nobody thinks Rosen will go in the first or second pick. Listen, he may turn out to be a good QB. Or he may suck ass. Same goes for the other 3. And as I have said before, not one person here doesn’t suck at player evaluation. Not one! Everyone loves to go back and talk about the players they wanted that turned out good but fail to mention the players they liked that sucked ass. People like to over analyze things. Rosen is by far the best, and most natural passer in this draft and pretty much every analyst agrees. The knocks on Rosen have nothing to do with his performance or play on the field. The knocks are that he's injury prone ( which is bullshit), that he's not likeable and that he questions things and pushes the coaching staff (because he wants to achieve greatness.) They attack his character because they can't attack his game.

Rosen couldn’t stay healthy in college... but I’m sure he’ll do just fine in the pros. Amirite??? EXACTLY This has to come into play in the decision. Wont bitch about Rosen if hes the Jets choice, but good God, how many oft injured college players end up not oft injured in the pros? In 3 years as a starter in college he had 1 shoulder injury, and 2 concussions. I think the injury history is completely overblown. Everyone makes a huge deal about rosens concussions. But how come nobody wants to mention that Mayfield also had 2 concussions in the final 3 games of his 2015 season. Rosen is injury riddled because one time he landed on his shoulder awkwardly and had to miss a handful of games. Got it. Josh Rosen is the best qb in this draft by far. Jets would make a huge mistake if he's available and they pass on him.

l think the jets should try to swap picks with the giants. This would gaurentee the bills or broncos cant jump in front of us and take our guy. And then giants can still take barkely. It would be a Win win Ok in theory but what are you willing to give up to make that move? Thinking outside of draft picks, there has to be a player we have that the giants would be interested in. Giants need o line help... offer them carpenter. I would also try to throw someone like Darren Lee out there. Shit maybe they would take buster skrine off our hands

Everybody caught up in the moment. Darnold still goes 1. Barkley goes 2. I think Bills trade up for Josh Allen. Think the Broncos pass on QBs for a more win now piece in Nelson, Mincah or Chubbs. Jets will probably get to choose between Rosen & Baker. Baker feels like a NY pick. I think Cardinals then trades up into top 10 for Rosen. Now that cousins is a viking, I really want Rosen. I think he will be the best qb from this draft when it's all said and done. The kid has great intangibles, footwork and mechanics.he knows when to throw a laser and when to put some touch on it. Looks off defenders well and has great anticipation. Here's how I would rank the QBs 1a. Rosen 1b. darnold 3. Mayfield 4. Allen I think there is a big fall off from rosen & darnold to mayfield and Allen, and I don't like Allen at all to be honest, but I feel like he will probably be our pick. I like Mayfield, but im not sure his game will transition well to the nfl. Strike 1 air raid offense. Strike 2 only 6 feet tall. The Only thing he has going for him is that I feel like he has that "it factor" but didnt manzeil and tebow have that same "it factor" in college. To be honest I would be completely shocked if the giants don't take a qb at 2. I no everyone has them taking barkely but that sounds ridiculous to me. Eli has 1 more season left in him, maybe 2 tops. Giants are going to plan for the future. When's the last time the giants drafted this high? 30 years ago? They are going to take a qb and let him sit a season behind Eli. Set up their next 15 years of success. Thats how the giants operate. They aren't stupid. That's our job. So I see the draft playing out like this ( if there are no trades) 1. Browns - darnold 2. Giants - Rosen 3. Colts - Barkley 4. Browns - chubb 5. Broncos -mayfield 6. Jets - If this scenario plays out jets have to trade up to 4 with the browns and get Mayfield But If barkely does go in the top 2 picks (which would be insane to me ) you have to trade up to 3 with the colts and your either going to get darnold or Rosen. I'd be happy with either.

Trumaine Johnson to Jets, per Schefty. 15 million per year? Eh...guess we gotta spend it on somebody Finally a decent signing. Was hoping to get Johnson. Glad we landed him. Not very excited about the crowell signing. And mcclown again? Eh. He did decent last year but cmon. I don't want to watch this 40 year old journeyman qb another season.

Macadoodle doo strikes again. Does he no free agency started? 90 mil in cap space and we sign nobody. This jackass is going to sit on his hands at 6 and miss all the QBs. We will end up taking the safety from Alabama.

I was thinking about this last week, when some people were saying Cousins would give the Jets a top-10 starting QB. So I tried to figure out where I'd rank him --and this is, of course, debatable, because I'm going to put some younger, less proven guys ahead of him by virtue of having a "higher ceiling." So here's who I'd put in front of him (in no particular order: Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck (assuming health), Marcus Mariota, Deshaun Watson, Derek Carr and Philip Rivers in the AFC, and Carson Wentz, Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, Cam Newton, Jameis Winston, Russell Wilson, and possibly Jimmy Garoppolo and Jared Goff in the NFC. If all of those guys are placed ahead of Cousins, that would put his rank at No. 18. Maybe Luck will never be healthy again, and maybe Mariota, Winston, Garoppolo and Goff won't reach their ceiling. If none of them do, then I'd have Cousins ranked no higher than No. 13. Since I believe Cousins' ceiling would be no higher than to be about the 12th-best QB in the league, I'd rather take my chances in drafting one and developing him. The 12th-best QB would be capable of winning a championship, but we'd have to build a pretty incredible team around him to get to that level. I don't think Cousins will be able to raise the level of his team anywhere near the way that, say, Rodgers and Wilson do theirs. Deshaun Watson has yet to play a 16 game season. Mariota has never thrown for 3500 yards in a season. Derek Carr has never thrown for 4000 yards in a season (with 2 amazing wrs) Cam Newton has never thrown for 4000 yards in a season. Andrew luck has never thrown for 4,000 yards in back to back seasons All of these guys have potential yes, but to say they are a better qb than cousins right now is silly to me. Also Brady, Brees, roethlisburger rivers are all on the decline and all will be retiring in the next few seasons. Cousins 3 years as a starter he ranked.... 2017: 12th in qbr with 93.9 and ranked 7th in passing yards with 4093. 8th in td passes with 27. 2016: 3rd in passing yards with 4917. 13th in passing tds with 25 and a qbr of 97.2 ranking 7th. 2015: 10th in passing yards with 4166. 29 tds ranking 12th with a qbr of 101.6 which ranked 5th best that year. He is definitely a top 10 qb Edit to add that the jets have only had 1 qb in franchise history to throw for 4000 yards and it was joe Namath in 67. We can add a qb who can throw for 4000 yards every season and you guys don't want him. Your all crazy.

Statistically cousins would be our best starting qb in franchise history. How could anyone be against signing him.
Sure, he's not worth being the nfls highest player, but it will only last for so long. Wait until Rodgers, Russell Wilson, jameis Winston, Derek Carr, etc resign. They will all get paid a lot more. It's the new going rate for QBs, And the cap gets higher every year.
We will have close to 100 million in cap space so you can sign him for 30 million a season and still have another 70 million to play with.
Jets will not be able to get darnold or rosen at 6. And I'm not sold on Allen or Mayfield. Cousins is the best option and can make us a contender next year.
Also who cares what the price is. We haven't seen a real qb on the jets in decades. Fully gaurentee the whole contract if you need to. We have enough cap space to do this and still be active in free agency. It also allows you to take the bpa in the draft.

Hack will never play a single snap in the nfl. I don't even think he can become a decent backup. Why waste the roster spot, he certainly hasn't earned it.

Give me Lamar Jackson. I'd be okay with cousins but I am really a huge fan of Jackson. You can blame Paradis for this. It's his fault I even started watching this guy lol Lamar Jackson is a scrub. Maybe I'd draft him in the 6th round in the hopes of converting him to a rb

I can't imagine the Jets are going to land Cousins. Broncos feel they are a QB away and may be right (still). JAX def feels they are a QB away and are probably REALLY right. Either of those teams has front offices that will pull for a vet. Manning's status in NY clouds the picture but IMO it's JAX or DEN for Cousins. Shit - even BUF on the outside of the draft might be a suitor. All the teams except JAX have obvious cap space. I don't see how the jets don't sign cousins. Maccagnan desperately needs a qb. He's failed twice at drafting them and knows this is his last shot. So Why draft the 4th best qb in the draft at 6 when you can get a top 10 qb right now? It's either us or the broncos and we can offer him more money. At the end if the day it's all about the money. If I'm maccagnan I'm giving cousins a blank check. Then I'm using the 6th pick on the best wr & in the 2nd I'm going running back & o line

Totally agree with this. Morton brought our offense into the 21st century. We didn't win 5 games because of bowles shit defense, that's for sure. Maybe one day we can average over 20 points a game.
