Just an after thought after moving up to #3 and grabbing a top QB. I don’t see Bridgewater or McCown liking being inactive on game days and I hope whoever the Jets draft is game ready. I don’t see the Jets doing the 3QB thing again on game day. Maybe I’m wrong but I think either Bridgewater or MCCown won’t be there opening day. Best case scenario is Bridgewater looks good in training camp and we can flip him for a pick -- especially if someone's QB goes down in camp.

l think the jets should try to swap picks with the giants. This would gaurentee the bills or broncos cant jump in front of us and take our guy. And then giants can still take barkely. It would be a Win win Ok in theory but what are you willing to give up to make that move? Last year, Bears moved from 3 to 2. Gave up their 3 and 4 last year plus a 3 this year to move up the one slot. Its doable, but I really do not want to give up 6 picks in these two drafts.

What will it cost to move upto 1 Draft nerds? Any discussion would have to start with next year's one. Plus probably an exchange of some later round picks.

I don't think Macc is done. He'll call the Browns for the top spot. You may be right. By keeping next year's 1 out of the deal, this is still an option. Personally, I would rather just stay at 3 at this point, but if Macc feel strongly enough about 1 of the QBs ahead of the others, it could still happen.

This is a very good deal. Yes, we gave up 3 2nd rounders to move up 3 spots but it will absolutely be worth it if we land a franchise QB at 3. There was going to be a lot of competition for that pick - especially from Buffalo, a division rival. Jets moved early and struck a good deal. Keeping next year's first rounder was huge. Yes, giving up the 2nd rounders hurts, but let's face it...we were most likely to blow them anyway. Now we are guaranteed to get a QB. Let's hope the one we really want is there. Agreed. Deal may not look good on the draft value chart. But the chart goes out the window when you are looking to move up for a QB and you are among several QB needy teams. Very happy with this deal as of now. Hopefully we are just as happy on April 26.

Great deal. Never thought we could get up to 3 without giving up next year's 1. To do it for the cost of three 2s is awesome. Its like giving up Hack, Devin Smith and Stephen Hill to go get a QB. Great move, Macc -- now don't fuck up this pick.

As long as there is a return on JT, I’ll be OK with it. It is what it is. It’s like Garf trying to sell an old rickety house by saying it has 'charm'. A turd is a turd, no matter how you sell it. This team is a turd. JT will be a Free Agent in a couple of weeks. What return are we going to get?

I really think this might be it for Garth. And if Garth goes, Weight has to go. Unfortunately, I also think this is it for JT. 9 season, 3 playoff appearances. New coach & GM combo will have to rebuild around Barzal and hopefully have a couple of lottery picks to do it -- if Calgary misses the playoffs.

Quote from Capitals Andre Burakovsky after last night's game. This team is just a hot mess. Garth and Weight have got to go.

Another game; another loss. 1 win since Feb 16. That is one win in the last month.

Gotta be honest. Mac is killing Free Agency. All these 1 yr deals (McCown, Teddy, Mo) in addition to an increased cap next season & all expirings (Powell, Kearse, Skrine), we keep flexibility. With that said, go get Honey Badger by all means. Grab Honey Badger, resign Kony & let's go into the Draft. I'd give Vinny Curry a 1 yr look too. He's a Jersey kid. Gotta see what he does in the draft before I start patting him on the back. He has done a nice job on the defensive side of the ball. But how much has he added to the offense: McCown. Same guy as last year, not likely to equal the year he had. I hope Bridgewater can play -- if so, he could be an upgrade, but it is just as likely that he does not make it through camp. Who knows how the knee will hold up. RFA tender to Enunwa -- see Bridgewater. Substitute neck for knee. Long is an upgrade over Johnson -- but then again, half the posters on this site are upgrades over Johnson. I might be an upgrade over Johnson and I am a 56 year old guy who missed time last season with broken ribs. Crowell - has some upside but the guy is an ass. Was an ass when he got kicked out of Georgia. Was an ass when he flunked a drug test in college. I was willing to give him a chance here, was actually optimistic about his signing until seeing that reprehensible picture of a cop killer that he posted on Instagram. The guy is just a bad guy. He fooled me when I rooted for him his freshman year at Georgia. He is not fooling me again. I will reserve judgement until after the draft, which I hope will be focused on getting younger and more athletic on the offensive side of the ball. I have been hoping that would happen for the last 5 or 6 years. Still waiting...

Hearing he wants 11 m per year? Kick Skrine to the curb, that might be doable? Its doable without cutting Skrine. We probably still have $40-$45mil cap space. Plenty of room to sign Mathieu. As for Skrine, since we are not cap strapped, I would rather hang on to him to see if we can get a pick for him. He is a decent slot corner -- he sucks on the outside where we had him last year, but might have value if someone needs a slot guy.

Wasn’t Suh an overpaid piece of useless shit on Miami? Kinda like Mo here? Pass. I’m just imagining him being our overpaid piece of useless shit bringing some nasty too our D.
I want the Badger anyway, Mac is insane if he doesn’t make a huge push for him. Good point. We do seem to have one or two of those on the roster every year -- between Revis and Mo, we have had the overpaid useless piece of shit market cornered for the last few years.

Other guy who is trade bait is Carpenter. Decent player, but from what I have read, not a fit in a zone blocking scheme. He should have some value -- and interior OL is pretty deep in the draft. Not sure who they could really pick up as an upgrade at this point. Especially with Josh Kline re-signing in Tennessee. I’ve heard/seen some people mention maybe taking Hernandez in Round 2, but I don’t know what kind of fit he is for a zone blocking scheme either. Dude is a 340 lb roadgrader. And I seriously doubt at this point that a guy like Wynn is still hanging around by #37. He could very well be a Top 25 selection. A scenario I wouldn’t mind is taking a kid like James Daniels from Iowa (perfect zone fit) and moving Long over to LG. Jensen is still out there in FA. Maybe his price drops now that the first wave of big money signings is done. Then we can kick Long back over to guard and look to move Carpenter. Similarly, this is a strong draft class at Center: Price, Daniels, Ragnow, Clapp. Long's flexibility to play guard gives us some additional options.
