Roseanne Barr should short the stock and then post videos of herself in sweats, eating cake while riding her Peloton.
Shares of Peloton, the buzzy bike startup, fell more than 9% on Tuesday as backlash to a new holiday ad built on social media.
That erased nearly $942 million from Peloton's market value in a single day, bringing the company's market cap to roughly $9.4 billion. It was also the biggest single-day drop for the company since October.
The backlash to Peloton's holiday ad, which features a young woman filming herself working out over a year after being given a Peloton bike, reached a breaking point this week, as it struck some viewers as confusing, sexist, and classist. The ad was released in mid-November but was published on YouTube on November 21 and is being shown on TV.
Wifne just told me she put $1,500 into Peloton stock when she heard it dropped. (Yes she has and uses one). Pretty pretty sure we will make out on that. Smart woman. |

The idea is great: like being in a gym, competing against others, getting yelled at by the trainer, but in the privacy of your own home. I assume you can turn your camera off so others can't see you huffing and puffing ans sweating like hell...?

I assume you can turn your camera off so others can't see you huffing and puffing ans sweating like hell...? No camera on you; You pick a live class or a recorded one, with whatever genre of music you like, choice of instructors, length of class, degree of difficulty etc. You watch the class. Believe it or not, it works. Time flies by, you work up a sweat. Sturdy piece of equipment. Havent touched mine in months. |
