Getting tired of my stupid $200 cable bill. That’s not even with hbo. I’ve got showtime or something that I don’t watch. Signed up for YouTube tv yesterday and I’m liking it even though I hate giving google more money. More sports channels than my cable. Anyone else have it? I’m turning in all my cable equipment and cancelling next week.

We cut the cord 11 months ago. Should have done it years ago. Kept Verizon internet and phone. Added YouTube TV and recently Disney+ (have had Netflix and Amazon Prime for years). Currently paying approximately $85/month less than with Fios TV. Will probably drop Netflix soon because their content ain't what it was.
Cut the cord now.

Firestick with Kodi. You need good wifi and you can watch anything, granted some of quality of feeds is crap, but most are close to HD quality. I ditched direct TV 3 years ago now and i catch all Jets games and the app i have been using this year is awesome, too bad we suck.

Did it a few years ago
I’ve built up a pretty sweet Blu-ray collection over the last 5 years and just have an Amazon Prime and Disney+ subscription at this point.
That’s all I need. I pay less in a year for that than what I did in a month for cable. Plus get the added benefit of free 1 day shipping on the majority of the shit I order from Amazon.
I gave up Netflix a while ago because 90% of the movies they offer aren’t even up to Redbox standards. And with shows like Daredevil and Punisher being cancelled, I have no interest in any of the content they make. I re-upped for a month to check out the new Dark Crystal show but then cancelled afterwards. I loved the first season of Stranger Things but then the 2nd season was just more of the same so I wasn’t even interested in the 3rd.
I think it kinda sucks how Disney is starting to develop a monopoly on the entertainment industry, but at least they produce quality shit for the most part, outside of the new Star Wars movies which are loaded with leftist propaganda and rely solely on hitting people’s nostalgia buttons.

cut it in April 2018 - best thing ever. recently upgraded from Firestick Gen1 to Firecube. I'm constantly dropping and picking up new services month to month.
Got DC Universe to watch Titans - pretty good. Starfire is pretty hot (pun intended) plus she roasts bad people pretty good. Ditto for Wonder Girl. And Dick Grayson is boning everyone!

Can't wait to bring back my cable stuff next week. In addition to Youtube TV (which I like because it has more sports channels than my former cable including Tennis channel) I have Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Now, and Disney+. The Disney+ I got free for a year for having a Verizon unlimited plan, so I'm not paying for that.
