Radio Personality Don Imus Dies at 79
Imus was the host of the radio show "Imus in the Morning" and was one of the first so-called "shock jocks"
Controversial radio personality Don Imus has died, a family spokesman confirmed Friday afternoon. He was 79.
Imus is best known for his daily radio show "Imus in the Morning," which launched on WNBC-FM in 1971. The show eventually moved to WFAN, and had been simulcast by MSNBC since 1996.
On the show, Imus became known as the "I-Man" and for his rivalry with fellow shock jock Howard Stern. Imus also drew nationwide fire when he characterized the Rutgers women's basketball team as "rough girls" when talking about the NCAA women's basketball tournament.
The spokesman said that Imus died this morning at a hospital in College Station, Texas, but had been in the hospital since Christmas eve. His wife of 25 years and two sons were at his side when he died.
The family will be holding a small, private funeral.

When he returned, I loudly said that it was nothing more than a cash grab, and that app was the tool that he was using. Now the app is gone, but what about the idiots that pre-paid for use? Now in January, he will do 30 minutes a night on WFAN. 6-6:30 pm. It won’t be just sports. Politics will also be discussed. Presumably his love of Trump in 30 minute slices. He followed the Trump playbook to the letter with the app. Leverage your name to create a worthless product and find idiots willing to pay for it. Francessa app=Trump University. |

I wonder if Stern will be giving a eulogy.  Never cared for him. He deserved to be fired for what he said about those young women. But he also helped a lot of people. RIHSB. |
