Theres some old SNL bits that were edgy then and would never air now. Stunt baby, toy racecar set with "the meatwagon" accessory, buck henry the perv uncle...
But yeah...alot of it didnt age well. If i remember right it was generally thought the writers sucked but the cast just made it work. Considering what it was vs anything else on at the time..

My mom knew a toy salesman and asked if he'd let me tag along to the Toy Show (since I lost my mind over those NY Hot ROd and Custom Cars shows at the NY Coliseum). He was no Irwin Mainway, but you had to wonder about older men pushing toys. The venue was the ballroom across from Penn St. About 1973.
