Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) Tweeted: Several teams were willing to put the games on hiatus, but the rest wanted to move toward eliminating fans from arenas to continue playing games, sources tell ESPN. One team wanted to keep status quo until a governmental/public mandate dictated change: The New York Knicks.

I don't understand... 18000 people died of the flu last year.. Right now people are freaking out and wanting to cancel everything. When this is all over the same people will say we overreacted. And then we will overreact again when it comes back next winter bc we have no memory of anything anymore.

I can understand travel restrictions and keeping people from gathering in large numbers for a while. We need to get a handle on this, and not from a "we are all gonna die" perspective. It is destroying the world econ with each passing day. Trade, supply chain and retail. To the point that if this continues there will be Countries that are unable to recover. Just think about all the rest's, deli's and the like that could be shut down with the mass work from home effort around the country. These are the back bone of the econ we have and have been doing a lot of hiring for the last three years. We need them to survive and the best way to do that is stop this from spreading as soon as we can.

Zero fucks given about the NBA, but the NHL is probably next, within the next 24 hours. Then at that point, what, cancel the NCAA tourney?
What am I supposed to do, sit and talk to my wife?

Well if we are going to get serious about this stuff everyone needs to put their money where their mouth is and get off China's slave labor nipple. Its crazy the power they have over us. And that didnt happen overnight. That is the results of decades of Congress gutting America. And before a couple years ago nobody was talking about it. Now its front and center.

My guess is everything is shut down until May. They say this virus doesnt even show up for a couple of weeks. So the numbers will get worse at least until then. Probably longer. Everyone needs to do their part. Be responsible for once. We can do this.

I'll keep washing my hands, and sanitizing, and doing all the stuff people should be doing ALL THE TIME.

Virus can be airborne for hours if the environment is right (cool/dry).
