How would this team looked under Mike McCarthy instead of Googly Eyes Gase?

Anyone is better than Gase. Give me Rex or Bowles, I don't really care, Gase is, as we expected, the worst.

To me it's amazing the Johnson's and their "people" could sit in an interview with that unhinged nut and then hire him. They ran him out of Miami for screwing that up and the powers that be think it's a good play to hire him has the Jets head coach. Amazing. For all his character flaws and faults, I believe even Rex would of had the Jets back to the playoffs by now.

When I watch good NFL teams I always am envious on how their running backs move quickly and crisply hitting holes opened by the offensive line. How their QB knows to throw the ball away, how there are no delay of game penalties after a kickoff or punt. I'd like to think Darnold can be a good NFL QB. I know it's early and he performed well to close last season against some mediocre competition but I just don't know about him. I can see the jets starting 0 - 9.

Gase makes me long for the days of the cigar store statue.

The fact that the whole team looked flat and unprepared is on the coach(es) plain and simple. We can't evaluate anything until those problems are resolved. Of course that means 2020 is another wasted year. Maybe they get someone that has actually had some success like Bienemy or some other assistant that isn't a loser.

If Gase called this play fire him now. If Darnold called this in the huddle or at the line he's an idiot too. You want HOgan to make a play?? What a horrible franchise we love.

We knew it was a mistake the day they hired him and then the entire world knew it was a disaster the minute they had the introductory press conference and the nut couldn’t keep his eyes from going googley all over the place. It was an embarrassment and another black mark on this pathetic useless bottom dwelling joke of a franchise. It went exactly as it should. They can’t even get a uniform unveiling right. Dude - they are incompetent from the top down. Douglas needs to take over and fire his “friend” Gase or he’ll go down as another failure too.

Look how Kingsbury is doing in his second year in Arizona, granted its one game, but i don't think Murray is better than Sam, coaching is the problem here. Joe needs "his" guy now, not who he was left with.
