Darnold has regressed for sure, but I believe that's more a product of the badness around him, less of some sort of inability to be a good QB. No more was this apparent than on the very first play of the game, a run no less. The LT Edoga literally made like he was in a lineman drill and shuffled with hands up past a defender, making contact with no one. That's not just a bad player making a bad play, it's an indication of poor scheme and/or coaching, and that's systemic. Agreed Sadly it’s probably too late for Darnold as a Jet. This may very well be the year that the Jets finally end up with the #1 pick and you have a stud like Lawrence coming out and even another upper tier prospect like Fields. Darnold has been dicked over, no question. But he’s also missing the routine plays more often than not. I could see us moving him for a 2nd to a place like New Orleans or Pittsburgh and him becoming a consistent Top 10-15 QB for a decade. But Douglas has no allegiance to Darnold and neither will the next HC. And I can’t really fault Douglas for wanting his own hand picked coach and QB.

He's a tough kid despite what the Jets have done to him. He takes a pounding week in and week out. It would of been nice to see hem develop under a competent coaching staff instead of the garbage the Jets hired. I feel bad for him.

All of this speaks to why Trevor should stay in school if this franchise can select him. The jets are QB murderers.

Lawrence graduates academically this year He’s already said that this season will be his last at Clemson and he doesn’t strike me as the kind of kid who would pull some underhanded bullshit. He’ll go to whichever team holds the #1 pick. And it’s not like Detroit or Jacksonville are some grand alternatives. Plus if he wins here, he’ll create a legacy for himself that will make dudes like Jeter, Rivera, Manning, etc seem like chumps in comparison. With over $100 million in projected cap space, Lawrence behind center, and a shitload of additional picks over the next 2 years...the Jets could turn things around in a hurry if Douglas plays his cards right. Also makes the Jets HC job a helluva lot more attractive than many fans seem to think.

I said to him the other day how ironic it would be if our Jets Savior turned out to be a Clemson QB.

I'm not off the Sam train yet. I've got to see him in the second half of the year with some real WRs and better play from the oline. Having Bell back would help too. If he performs well we won't be getting the top pick so this conversation would be moot.

if jets get lucky enough to get #1 pick, darnold must be moved the following teams will be calling to move up to #1. the counter offer will be darnold for a 2. here are the teams that would be interested falcons vikings eagles saints panthers lions jaguars raiders colts football team bears steelers if a 2 can be acquired from any top-half of this list of teams, the jets would have 4 of the first 45 picks in the draft, and 6 of the first 96 samuel darnasty. i love you bro. but with jesus coming in, it is time for a change of scenery for both parties. you will be an excellent qb in a few years, a la drew brees. but you won't be jesus. JD will enter his true 4 year contract with the following: jesus at qb hand-picked HC top LT in league 115-125 million in cap room 4 picks in top 45, 6 picks in top 96 from that point, jets fans must be further patient. 2-3 years before pitchforks come out. let jd's vision mesh with the talent. by jesus' second year, jd will have had 3 drafts - not quite enough to build a team, but enough to build a foundation. let him rock it with his cock out and see what happens.
This is not Jesus.
This looks like a California Hippie.

I hope he DOES end up with the Steelers.
At least they won't have a rapist at QB anymore (as soon Ben fucks off) and it would give me REASON to watch a Steelers game.

what is the trade value of the entire team? in fact, what is the trade value of all of the assets of the entire organization? by trade i mean monetary value. as in sell
sell all the players. sell everything. the stadium, facilities, equipment, etc.
disband the fucking team/organization.
pay every living season ticket holder past and present a prorated percentage of ALL of the proceeds. for their pain and suffering
fucking jets. fuck you.

If the Jets somehow get him and Trevor wins "HERE", It will re-ignite my believe in fucking MIRACLES.
