binge watching Yellowstone with the wifne
kind of soap opera-y and too unbelievable but decent i guess
just makes me keep thinking how fucking incredible the writers (and directors) were on breaking bad and better call saul in comparison
yellowstone's writers rely too much on crazy shocking shit happening one after another. nowhere near the depth of storyline or character development of breaking/saul.
i would rage fock beth in the poop chute though. common

Excellent acting and each character arch is amazing. Even Hank, never really noticed his story line.

Some of it was ok, but it always devolved into soap territory, aimed at woke chicks.

I watched first few episodes and lost interest when the decrepit owner CEO in terrible health on deaths doorstep makes a miraculous recovery with no side effects, and actually came out of the ordeal about 29 years younger. Hard pass.

Watching the Hannibal TV series from about 10 years ago on hulu. Gotta say I'm really impressed with it. Normally hate remakes of stuff but it's done very well and the writing is great

Started watching The Chosen yesterday about the Life of Christ On Amazon. As a lapsed Catholic I've found myself getting emotional a few times already.
I also find myself getting angry at the Church all over again. They've taken something beautiful and buried it with the stench of pedophilia and corruption.

As for the church, I was away for a long time for exactly that reason. But I’ve been back for a long time now. think they’ve been working hard get things right. I know that they have been very out front with it in our parish.

Couldnt agree more about the lapsed Catholic and anger at the Church thing. Will def. look for this. My faith needs a re-boot.

Reading the Bible (and having a very creepy uncle, my Godfather, as a Catholic priest) turned me into an atheist. Highly recommended.
