While they’re at it, they need to bring back the shopping spree at the end of the show. “Pat, I’ll take that roll of scotch tape for $75 please.” Would play great in today’s inflationary world.

Really well done. traction park went many times, was a perfect encapsulation of being a teen in the 80s easy access to copious amounts of beer insanely dangerous "attractions" envisioned and built by a lunatic tons of hot girls, drunken fights, other unsupervised genX mayhem today's pussified generation would piss their pants just driving into the fucking parking lot there |

If that's the one I saw, there's a great line in there that goes something like this; "The only place you'll see a 16 year old smoking a cigarette selling beer to 50 year olds." That place was insane. No rules, zero fucks given, people limping or staggering all over with beers in each hand... and everyone having a ball. |

If that's the one I saw, there's a great line in there that goes something like this; "The only place you'll see a 16 year old smoking a cigarette selling beer to 50 year olds." That place was insane. No rules, zero fucks given, people limping or staggering all over with beers in each hand... and everyone having a ball. Friend of mine wiped out on the alpine slide. We were all waiting at the bottom with his dad who is a Vietnam vet, Finally see our friend walking down with his sled in hand. Bloods in a decent stream dripping off his arm. Dad calls him a pussy. We go to the first aid booth where they sprayed some orange stuff on it, wrapped it in gauze and sent us on our way for more mayhem. Good times. |

The best is we'd go skiing there in the winter (Vernon Valley/Great Gorge). This was before ski clothing and helmets was a thing. I'd be there in blue jeans, jean jacket, no helmet, no gloves, rented shit skiis, (no lessons) hammered, catapulting and careening out of control all over the place. And I wasnt the only one. A winter shit-show to match the summer shitshow. How I left both incarnations of that place unscathed is a miracle. |
