He did some USO type stuff when I was serving overseas in the 90s.
He came to the "show" about an hour late wearing a baja hoodie, sandles, had puffy eyes and overall looked like shit warmed over. Guy basically admitted he was on a bender the night before so thats why he was late.
Somebody from the crowd asked him what he did during his spare time. He responded "Obviously, I drink." Little bit of humor went a long way with us. Seemed like a regular guy.
