If you've never been, Progressive Field is a great ballpark. Was there a few years ago and had a great time. The home fans were super friendly, even while I was wearing my Jorge Posada t-shirt. I've had that shirt for probably 17 years. Been there two times before, both with a bunch of NYPD and Cleveland bagpipers (we're great pals). Always nice people around us. Last time, sat next to a little kid with a glove looking to catch a ball. We were not in a good section for that. Went to take a leak and bought a $28 baseball on the way back and told the kid I caught it between innings for him. He bought it and his dad went along with it while winking at me. That's baseball for me. Would have been cheaper to just give him some old clothes or a Jeter t shirt with all his carreer stats scribbled all over it. |
