I saw a documentary on PBS years ago when the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) seized Clive Bundys cows over grazing fees. A few militias showed up as well as citizens fed up with government overreach. In no time they had set up 50cal sniper positions and had the feds outnumbered.
Some smart BLM guy on site wisely called Washington DC and brought his boss up to speed on the situation. They turnrd the cows loose and got the fuck out of Dodge.

I think it was on Frontline. Was an excellent show. Here's the episode I think.
