Scary seen at the United Ctr. Just flipped on Rags-Hawks game. Hawks player, Jujhar Khaira, took a huge hit from Trouba, went down and has not moved. Being stretchered off the ice. What’s your opinion on that hit? I’ve only seen it in a tweet on a small screen. Not on the big screen and no slow mo. Bad luck. Not necessarily a dirty hit. Khaira had the puck on his stick and lost it just as Trouba approached. He put his head down to look for the puck and Trouba hit him. Had he not dropped his head, hit would have been to chest. Just my two cents, but I thought it was a legal hit, but a bad break. Fortunately he is okay and out of the hospital today. |

On a serious note it's nice too see the maturation of Wahlstrom and Dobson. Trotz should keep feeding more minutes to both of these guys especially Dobson. Seeing him driving the net and carrying it behind the net in the same game was encouraging.

Sorokin is amazing and we missed numerous open nets at the end including Parise missing on a breakaway. Another great game by Barzal, Dobson and Wahlstrom were awesome. And oh yeah...Chara can still fight. |

Wow, a W. I had tix to this game but schedule would of put me in my seats midway thru the first at best.
Overall they played a good game. The pass from Pageau to parise for the shorty was sweet.
Ollie with just 9:49 TOI though. Head scratcher why trotz doesn’t play him more. He had a good game. Imagine what he’d do with 18 TOI

Lets get this thread going again after what seemed liked months without hockey. They played a great game tonight and being able too watch the maturation of Dobson since he started getting paired with Chara has me like.  |

I fell asleep after the second. Nice to wake up with a W. Of course it was vs a depleted Buffalo team. But gotta get those 2 points, no excuses. Buffalo still has more points lol. Isles move in to tie with Seattle for 5th worst record in the league. Lots of hockey left to be played, hopefully. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings.

Well, one game played, another game tomorrow and then four more cancelled. What a mess this season has become.
Not sure what is making me more apathetic, how much the Isles have struggled or the way the season has been so fucked up.
