Zach Wilson I have tried to give Zach the benefit of the doubt but there is a lot of doubt. I see flashes of great play and ability mixed in with a whole lot of head scratching crap. I still see the ability of a high ceiling with the physical talents but a very low floor with the mental aspect. Can he be a starting QB? Curious to see how he plays this week but I’m not betting money that he’ll be good or even pencilling him in as the starter next year unless he manages to play the rest of this season at a high level. Not seeing that happen.
Mike White I know a lot of Jet fans see White & destroy their boner pants with excitement. I see a really good backup QB. Not a guy that I want as the starter. I know he took some shots & showed some toughness but he now looks to be a bit injury prone. And I don’t want to hear about how hard the shots were. Your job is to stay on the field too. Some guys take shots better than others. He’s a free agent. Not sure what it would take to sign him but I don’t consider him as the starter next year.
Joe Flacco Why was he even on the team this year???
So where do we go?

Zach is very young and has potential but who knows if he will ever mature enough to be even an average/consistent QB. Like you said White is a decent backup who seems to get hurt a lot, though Wilson does too. I see White's celling to be a game manager like Pennington. With better play calling and health White could probably help us contend for a Super Bowl. That being said he also didn't elevate the team around him to get wins sooo.... Flacco needs to be playing for a retirement home team somewhere. Strevler is intriguing but I guess the team doesn't see him as good enough to even be a backup. That leaves free agents, rookies and trades. I don't think wasting our youth with another rookie is the right move. I don't want an ancient QB like Brady or Rodgers. I think you have to try to steal Jackson from the Ravens. He is young and a game changer. He has health issues himself but he would have the best weapons around him that he has ever had on this team. If that doesn't work I guess the other options is to get one of the 3 QBs from the 49ers, Love from GB or some other tier 2 QB who might benefit from our WRs, RBs and TEs.

I agree that requires a great game manager so I see JD go after free agent experienced QB and hope we stay healthy especially on OL

I can’t see the Ravens letting Jackson go. They will franchise him & work on a deal. If he threatens to sit out & they decide to trade him, the cost of the trade will be absolutely enormous. Plus we have to sign him to an enormous deal too.

The way the team is built and the offensive scheme we don't need a Joe Montana.
Zach is not the answer as far as I'm concerned. He hasn't always had the best of circumstances but the difference in the way the offense looks when he's operating vs White is glaring. He's in year 2 and still making year 1 mistakes. I saw a stat where there's a full second in the time from snap to throw. They have the same Oline, the same talent around them. One guy gets it, the other doesn't.
I'd be OK with White if he was able to finish the year. Not great to go with him with such a small body of work.
Totally on board for Carr if we can.

Plus we have to sign him to an enormous deal too. If the Ravens don't give him the deal he wants and franchise him we can take him for 2 first round picks, I believe. It is in their best interest to try to sign him and if he doesn't take the offer then their next best move is to trade him for a deal like Watson or Russel Wilson commanded. I don't see any problem paying a super star 24 year old QB EXCEPT for 2 things: 1. We have to be able to surround him with the talent for him to still succeed. 2. You have to be confident that he will stay healthy. My biggest concern with Jackson is he has missed games over the past 2 seasons and his style is conducive to injuries.

Sign Danny Dimes. Im only half kidding. He intrigues me. Agreed. I think with an O-line upgrade and some beast receivers, he can be one of the top QB's in the game. As far as White, I dont believe he is particularly injury-prone per se (those hits would have cracked anyone's ribs) but his lack of mobility will always be a problem especially behind our usual injury-riddled Oline. I'm torn. And I have no idea how you teach a QB, Wilson, who made it all the way to be a starter on an NFL team, how to put touch on passes, see open recievers, and make simple 10 yard throws. That's fundamental stuff that he should have mastered waaaaay before. Maybe he's got adreneline issues that need to be addressed. Beta blockers, perhaps? And I dont want Brady or Rodgers.

Well, he may still be working things to meet expectations of being the #2 overall pick of the draft. However, he's not a cheap skate. Scooters for his O line for the year end gift. With the current luck of the Jets a few starters will get injured before Thursday's game.

No way do I want Daniel Jones (aka Dave Brown II) and I don’t want Tannehill either. They should go with Mike White and Zach and let them fight it out during training camp if they can’t trade for or sign a proven starter like Lamar. Sign White to a 2 or 3 year deal and let the best man win. Dump Flacco at Seaside heights and let him swim home to Rohobeth Deleware or wherever he lives.
