Here is somewhat of a timeline. Still at Northshore University hospital. Dec 2 - went to LIJ emergency Dec 2 evening - CARDIAC ICU Dec 5 - transferred to Northshore CCU Dec 10 - went on ECMO and transfer to cardiothoracic surgical ICU brain is still in a fog if u have easy questions. My God. I dont know if you should thank the Jets for preparing you for this or blame them for causing it. Glad you are on the mend. You basically had mechanical lungs and heart. Horrifying and amazing at the same time. God bless the doctors, nurses and staff. Merry Christmas. Still hooked up to the ECMO. have a test Tuesday to see what's next. |

Back in 2021 I found myself in the SICU at North Shore for a couple of weeks. Intra-abdominal sepsis. Was put on a ventilator. Not only did they save my life, they were able to clean out the infection with just a laparoscopy rather than opening me from my balls to my neck. Im forever grateful to those doctors and nurses. Even the maintenance guys who would come hang out in my room. Try to stay positive. Manifest, like Rodgers says. You got this. |

They did a mini test and it went well. Another good test the machine might come out and I could come out 2 weeks or less.

so the wifne is away for a week, watching her sister's dogs whilst they vacation yesterday afternoon i made some pulled pork for dinner. accidentally left it out on the counter overnight. put it in the fridge when i woke up this a.m. had some for lunch. stomach felt kinda iffy afterwards. just some for dinner. stomach feels pretty iffy. non-human sounds gurgling within stay toont i'll show her to fucking leave me to fend for myself that zombie pig is coming back. want to kill it again? call Becton |
