Kind of avoiding that he was able to win with Tannehill and get him to be at least a good game manager. I don’t want a defensive minded head coach. I want an offensive minded head coach who is going to dictate what other teams do,not react to what another team is doing. You mentioned Vrabel did OK with Tannehill and he was an effective game manager. You didn’t mention the fact that he had Derek Henry as his running back. That guy was probably top five all-time in NFL history. Woody needs to quit fucking around and open up his checkbook and he needs to think outside the box. We gave Bellidick to the Pats for a first round pick I think. Maybe there’s a disgruntled coach out there that Woody could trade for and give him GM duties as well as head coach duties if that’s what the guy wants. Every year great defensive coordinators are available. Great offensive minds are worth their weight and gold. I haven’t had a holy fuck we got that guy moment since Bill Parcells. Every head coach since then has been oh I hope that guy works out. Woody needs to find the holy fuck we got that guy guy. I actually don't care if he's offensive or defensive..I want a HEAD COACH that knows how to make in game decisions on both sides of the ball, can evaluate and develop players on both sides of the ball, can come in with his guys to execute his plan. A dude that's done it before sucessfully. On player development specifically, I think on the defensive side, we've been pretty good: Adams, MCIII, Quincy and others. On the O, you either come in as a diamond (Garrett, Breece..) or it's just a revolving door of players.

Quinnen blown 5 yards off the ball. Clemons getting washed and flattened. Sauce playing patty cake. Wow...Clemons ends up pancaked on the other side of the line and Sauce doing his best Cro immitation.

I would be interested in reading a study on the backgrounds of the head coaches that were successful over the past decade or so. What was their path to becoming a head coach, discipline, Rooney rule, etc.

Give me a guy who comes from that side of the ball who has developed one of these athletic quarterbacks. Or give me a HC who has won a superbowl.

Any good QB's next year in the draft? Looking for a guy with special arm talent, capable of backpedaling to the left and throw a 60 yard bomb to the right. That kind of guy. Experience and reading defenses not important. We have two promising projected starter QB on our roster now.
