Admire the loyalty but this kid hasnt walked a foot in a Jet fan's shoes. Its a bad look from Rodgers and another ominous sign Salah is weak and an apologist for him. It is just the media making it into something for clicks. No big deal. Exactly. The optics of it aren't good, but he missed what 2 days of practice? In the grand scheme of things it's nothing. I actually commend the Jets for publicly saying it's inexcused. They could have hidden it with a BS excuse. I think Saleh could have handled it better though. He should've said to Arod before "For the optics, I have to say I'm not pleased and put you under the bus a bit. I'd rather you be here but you've showed enough, I know you're fully committed" Still kind of waiting to see what his big engagement was. It obviously wasn't some sort of fund raiser or social endeavor or else wouldv'e been known by now. Hope he's rescuing baby orphans from fires or something and not just on spiritual bs trip which he could have postponed |

Attended all the non-mandatory stuff and the Jets knew about this absence for a while. Its a non-story. Some in the media have Rodgers Derangement Syndrome and Jets fans who are like battered wives are easy marks. I cant think of a single Jet player who has said anything bad about him. They all come to his difference. Juxtapose that with Zach who they would watch take late hits and not bat an eye. The alternative is we go back to sucking. A familiar place. Im gonna let the guy cook or get high or whatever he wants to do in June. |
