It came out in the hearing that the Secret Service has a budget of $3.1 billion and 8000 employees. That’s fucking crazy. Government is like a cancer... it just want to grow. These who want more power need to justify it by the people they supervise. I worked for the Port Authority for 3 years and couldn't get our fast enough. I saw the IT department head slamming the table to keep PC's out of the agency in 1984 as he would then need to lose his "key Punch" girls. They created new work simply to grow. Why do we have a National DOL? State DOL? County DOL and in many cases town and village DOL?? NONE of them are worth a shit. I audited villages when I was a CPA in NY.. the waste and fat is beyond belief. |
