I think I joined Jets Insider in 2004 or 2005, which means I've known some of you mooks for 20 years now.
Still can't tell if shared misery is better than solitary misery, but at least there's funny stuff and no one's selling my email address.

Still can't tell if shared misery is better than solitary misery, but at least there's funny stuff and no one's selling my email address. I figure I joined JI in the early 2000's as well. During it's heyday it was a ton of laughs and full of characters. You could sense Deegan sort of growing disinterested as the site grew and he didnt really know any of the newcomers. Not shocked he tried to monetize it and move on. |

I joined JI in 2000. I remember I was bored on a 3 month contract at ADP and was posting on a Jets board on Yahoo and looked for something better and landed on JI. I came up with my user name because I was supportive of trading Keyshawn Johnson and it just stuck since then.

Was that Gagoots? At first I thought he was a hoot, then I realized he was making sexually inappropriate remarks to posters that were obviously teens/young dudes. Very weird and he wasnt happy being called out on it, lol. |

I was looking to renew by subscription to a magazine called Jets Confidential and accidently typed in Insider during a brain fart. This came I up and I was like wtf is this and joined right up. |

I first found JI because some dude à la Trades would post every day all Jets related articles. It was was cool because everything was in one place. I quickly found the off topic forum. Never understood the anger that was in some of the football threads. Who fuckin cares.
