Just finished watching this Monday Night Debacle and was scrolling Reddit and thought “hey I wonder if the Hampur is still around? Those guys would have some funny takes” Well it is, and you guys are still telling the same stories from 15 years ago. There’s an odd comfort to that. Like a ramshackle old dive bar that somehow survived the pandemic because health officials just locked the doors from the outside, expecting nature to take care of itself… except none of the patrons died. What is this, old home week? First FF2 shows up and now you return after a long wonder. Welcome back. It’s a siren’s song |

What’s up Duke! How was the Olympics? That opening ceremony was predictably French. Good to see you man. We still got some soccer discussions with 3/4 people. Olympics were surprisingly cool. I thought we would make a mess of it. If you forget about the naked blue man and transexuals, we crushed it. Having the events in the heart of the city was an awesome idea. Trains were working, streets were cleaned 4 times a day, the French were happy (!), the homeless were shipped I don't know where... Now we can go back to being miserable |

I think I joined Jets Insider in 2004 or 2005, which means I've known some of you mooks for 20 years now. Still can't tell if shared misery is better than solitary misery, but at least there's funny stuff and no one's selling my email address. Wow, that’s quite the perspective. That tracks about right because I think I was probably 19 or 20 when I first discovered JI. Back when Green Jets and Ham was only partially imbalanced, and Jets Hag was still Jets Babe.  dude - whats up?! |

It seemed like a fun atmosphere, with just a dash of French ennui for ambience. My kids were really into watching it too. I think I may need to look into tickets for the LA Olympics in 4 years |

I’ve never been more depressed in a theater than when I watched No Time to Die (spoiler alert - there was just enough time to die). I still won’t re-watch that movie, which is a shame because there are some truly great Bond moments in it. |

Was that Gagoots? At first I thought he was a hoot, then I realized he was making sexually inappropriate remarks to posters that were obviously teens/young dudes. Very weird and he wasnt happy being called out on it, lol. Jesus, there’s a memory that I clearly repressed. I think at one point gagoots tracked down my email address and sent me a “script” he was working on, and really wanted me to read it and “workshop” it with him. Yikes. The script was uwful and I walked with a limp for three days after the "workshop". |
