SNL was funny when it had people like John Belushi(RIP), Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Martin Short, and Steve Martin back in the day.
Once nitwits like Adam Sandler arrived(followed by other wannabe comedians), the show become less funny and more stupid, imo.

I say stay separated
I know a lot of people bitched about this sort of thing originally on JI (and I was one of them), but I'm willing to bet that most preferred it in the long run.
Otherwise, the entire board is going to be cluttered and good threads (those pertaining to both the Hampur and the Jets) are going to get pushed to the bottom and out of sight very fast.
