They did the same thing for Breaking Bad and I assume other shows on that channel. I really don't know why they do it. 8 episodes is always too short though and keeps you wanting more.

I remember back in the day a show started in September then ended in May. :Shakescane:

Otherwise you're left having to wait almost a full year for more new episodes.

Wow. I saw it coming... I called it last week, and as soon as they told Maggie that Beth was alive I knew she was getting killed. I actually thought Carol was gonna die too tho. But I saw that coming a mile away.
Gotta wait til Feb for the REST of the season. Pretty lame, but at least there's football! RAGE0042

Wow. I saw it coming... I called it last week, and as soon as they told Maggie that Beth was alive I knew she was getting killed. That was my thought too. "Your sisters alive, we're going to get her, no problem!" was the kiss of death. Rick telling the one usedtobeacop, bad Bob, to "shut up" after he shot him was awesome. "Can't go back, Bob!", echoing what Gareth said to good Bob in the earlier episode. Daryl blasting the other usedtobeacop when she shot Beth was awesome. Morgan is awesome. I hate the mid season break but it does prevent you from having no TWD from Feb to Oct. As least it spreads it out. A lot of shows are doing that now. That Sleepy Hollow show on Fox i read did 11 episodes, then a break, then has a bunch more. I thought all in all, this season had the best combination of action and character development/exposition/etc. I think it kept the whole fan base pretty happy overall.

I think this season has been really good. Also, as sucky as season 2 was, when looked at as a whole, it was interesting to see the progression of Rick. There he was simply trying to get his family together amidst chaos around him, then the prison made him lose his mind, now he's all survival-mode business. Makes sense.

I think I might go back and watch them all. I actually get down to Woodbury a bit. Gonna be there this weekend in fact. I like seeing ATL portrayed like that. Yeah this season's been good. Last season was pretty crappy for a lot of it. Like... Way to drag that shit out. Sounds like they're gonna be shifting gears a bit in the 2nd half too. Whatever that means. Sounds like there's gonna be a big change in style tho.
