Good day Jets fans...
On this date in 1961 Former NY Jets TE Chris Dressel was born in Placentia, CA.
Chris was a 3rd round pick in 1983 by Houston. He played college ball at Stanford.
Chris played for the Jets from 1989-1991.
I remember him as a good blocking TE.
Happy Birthday Chris!

February 7, 2006: The start of the Mike Tannenbaum era. On this date in 2006, Woody Johnson hired Mike Tannenbaum as GM to replace Terry Bradway. As we know all too well, Bradway was retained as a Player Personnel guy until last month when Mike Macaggnan decided it was time ot move on from Bradway.
Some great highs and pathetic lows during Tanny's reign as GM - he went all in for a Super Bowl in 09/10, but the team fell just short.

One more item to add to last year's thread.
New Head Coach Bruce Coslet (who had been hired the day before) starts building his staff, hiring three assistant coaches:
Defensive Coordinator -- Pete Carroll
Special Teams Coach -- Foge Fazio
Receivers Coach -- Chip Meyers
Coslet would act as his own Offensive Coordinator.
