Good morning Jets fans....

Today on this day in 1971 former Jet John Bock was born in Crystal Lake IL. John played for the Jets in 1995 and is coach of the Brooklyn Bolts of the FXFL.

Also, former Jet Scotty McKnight WR was born in Newport Beach CA. In 1988. Scotty was on the Jets from 2011-2012.

February 11, 2009: Brett Favre announces his retirement from the NY Jets. Of course, he would come back and play two more years witih the Vikings, almost reaching the Super Bowl in 2009. However that SB run came to an end after he threw a pick in OT against the Saints setting up their game winning FG.

Still think Eric Mangini lost his job as a result of his decision to play Favre down the stretch in 08 despite a torn bicep which severely limited his arm strength.
