Good Morning fellow Jets fans...

On this date in 2006 the Jets released Ty Law..

Ty went to the Chiefs for 2 years and then was back with the Jets in 2008..

Also, on this day in 1967 the NFL adopted the "sling shot" style goal posts, eliminating the giant "H" style..
The League also made standard the 6 foot boarder around the field of play..funky little find there 'eh?

The Jets hired former Hofstra Linebacker Sal Alosi as Assistant Director of Physical Development.

Yup, the assistant coach who tripped the Dolphins NOlan Carroll on the sideline during a punt play in 2010, became a member of the staff on this date in 2005. Alosi was suspended a couple of days after the sideline tripping incident and resigned his position with the Jets at teh end of the 2010 season.
