Punter Chuck Ramsey, who played with the Jets from 1977 thru 1984.

Chuck was born in 1952 in Rock Hill, NC and played at Wake Forest.

also, Jim Harris, DT, was born on this day in 1943 in Lake Charles, LA.

Jim played for the Jets from 1965-1967.

On this date in 1996, the Jets signed free agent offensive tackle John (Jumbo) Elliott to a five year deal worth in excess of $15MM. Elliot, who would play 7 seasons for the Jets had his most memorable moment catching the game tying TD in the Monday Night miracle against the Dolphins in 2000.
