Today on this day in 1937 Former NY TITAN Art Powell was born in Dallas, TX.
Art played for the Titans from 1960-1962.
He also made the All AFL 2nd team....
He went to San Jose st.
Happy Birthday Art.....
Also, on this day in 1958 Former Jet Guy Bingham was born in Koiaumi Gumma Ken, Japan. Guy played for the Jets from 1980-1988 as a Center.

February 25, 2002A year earlier, the Jets hired Herman Edwards to be their new head coach for the 2001 season. At the time, Herm was signed to a 3-year contract. After a 10-6 season in which he became the first Jets rookie head coach to lead the team to the playoffs (where they lost to Oakland 38-24), his contract was extended. On 2/25/02, he agreed to an extension which would make him the Jets head coach through the 2005 season.
