Things really have spun out of control for some. Free agency hasn't even started and some are wondering if the Jets will be able to spend enough of the money they have.

Screw Hoyer. Waste of money. And Fitz is a turnover machine just like our last two QBs. There is no veteran fix to our QB problems. Vinny isn't walking through the doors again. Meaningless wins at end of year will keep us on the QB carousel for a loooooong time. Then who do you suggest? We need someone other than just Geno, and there are not a lot of alternatives out there in either free agency or the draft. Mariota is a possibility at 6, maybe we can pull a draft day deal for Foles, but I don't think we can afford to sit and do nothing while hoping we find our guy on draft day. I'd rather have Locker than Fitzpatrick at this point even with the injury history. Maybe a better Oline can keep him upright. Wasn't he benched last year? He seems to start out really hot then fades fast and each year it's faster as there's plenty of tape on him at this point.

Fitzpatrick? I want nothing to do with this guy, he was the only guaranteed win for the Jets when they played against him. Seriously I cannot imagine going to watch him play QB for my team. I liked him for about 6 minutes when he first started because he was a Harvard mand and a low draft pick. And that beard has got to go it's sickening

So they pay him 10% more big deal. I can't believe that would be the difference maker in that decision.

Lol...that's funny stuff. I'm sure they will investigate this right after they finish "investigating" deflate gate. Yup. Tampering charges for everyone. Except the Jets! They didn't "release" any contract numbers. So nitpicky of the NFL, you can talk to agents but you can't tell the public what your numbers are?

Wonder if things are going to start to quiet down until tomorrow. Oh that'll hurt 'em. This goes along with the "don't ask permission before, ask for forgiveness later". Gee I'm so sorry but we have McCourty, Thomas, and Suh. So sorry, our bad

At least we're finally starting to see interest in players by the Jets in some tweets. Was really quiet for a while there

Teams are allowed to talk to agents -- did they think the nature of those discussions and verbal agreements would not get out?

Exactly, it's like handing out crack to a bunch of addicts and telling them they can only look at it and not smoke it for 3 days. Good luck with that.
