What's going on? This was supposed to be the first deal out of the gates and now nothing. There are rumors that the NFL is really not happy with the Dolphins and how their numbers leaked almost immediately.
Has anyone seen that the Suh deal is official yet?

Think everyone who was freaking out about us not making deals the previous few days can shove it even further down their throats. Only FA move we made was resigning Harris and that's perfectly legal. Mac Daddy playin by the rules...not sure what can possibly come of this but good to be clear of conscience here either way.

Good. Screw the fish. Hope they get fined and lose the draft pick(s).
Tanny becoming head honcho over there is the best thing that could've happened to everyone else in the AFC East. Football czar indeed.

Just to be the knee-jerk reactionary type I'll already give our FA period a B+. We re-signed the right guys (Harris, Powell, tenders for Snacks and Jarrett), improved WR with a very, very good trade, hugely improved the CB position, and made a slight upgrade at OG. The only things I'll ding us on so far are that we have yet to address pass rusher, Free Safety, QB, and need to do something more on the OLine. But again, it's early. An argument could be made that the two best players on the entire Jets team were acquired in the past week by Maccagnan (Revis, Marshall).

Hard for NFL to prove this stuff. They can just say someone from Suhs camp leaked the info. They were allowed to be in negotiations but just couldnt agree to anything. That is like telling your kids they can go to a bar but they arent allowed to drink.

When you have as many holes as we do (did ) you just can't fill all of them in free agency and even more so, in less than 24 hours. I'm not really interested in any of the available QBs (Say no to Hoyer) We're close to getting Glichrist for FS And I'm not sure there are any good pass rushers out there for us......Jerry Hughes wasn't a 3-4 fit. So if you B+ is because those areas have not been addressed, I'd politely ask you to reconsider your grade. I'd give the Jets an A so far (anticipating signing Cro and Glichrist), it would be an A+ if we could have added a higher level Guard.

Yes, if we land Cro, Gilchrist and acquire Fitzpatrick (not ideal but a good fit with Gailey) then I move to an A. If we keep filling these holes with decent, and in some cases great, players then I'm really excited for the flexibility we'll have in the Draft. I might want to parlay that #6 into two picks later in the 1st round and get both a stud OLineman and one of the top 2 RBs (Gordon, Gurley). That would be sick.

Could you imagine if this fell through? Suh would be so fucked. Yeah, not sure there would be enough money out there for him at this point. I'm not sure there's any other team that is actually capable, even if they wanted to, of realistically giving him $114M and $60M guaranteed. Teams are starting to spend and commit to contracts.
