Forget Rex. I wonder what Idzik is thinking now that all of his hard work of not doing anything is finally looking to be paying off.

I'm so hoping to beat Buffalo twice this year, with scores like 27-3, or 30-6 or something. And I want him to give the ball to us on the coin flip, so we can march down the field on a long, extended first drive, and punch it in on a running TD on 1st down from 2 yards out. Demoralizing.
Sorry Rex, your a division rival. Fuck you.

Rex was an entertaining head coach who brought us within 1 game of the promised land twice. He brought passion and excitement back to the team early on. I will be grateful and remember his first 2 years with us fondly. But now, he is gone. I have no ill will towards him. He didn't abandon us in the middle of the night; he was forced out - some for his own faults, some for others.
By all accounts he seems to be a good person. People may not like his personality, but he was loyal to the team, fans, and the players. He was sincere and I believe he loved being the HC of the Jets. The Jets were special to him either because of his history, his father's history, or they were his first HC job. So, I wish him the best and I will root for him (especially against the Flats* and the Dolphins) except when he plays the Jets.
This is contrary to BB who, although may be a good/great HC, is a miserable person. He has done things personally and professionally that show a bankrupt moral center. I would have liked the SB trophies, but I am glad he wasn't our HC (1 day doesn't count). I am also glad, living in NE, that my daughter is too young to see him as an example of a bad sportsman; his cheating, gloating victory press conferences (I hate that *#$# smile), his pouty loss press conferences, crappy handshakes, running up the score. His is a poor sport and a bad example to all of us. I always will root to fail. And, I can't wait until it comes....
That being said, RR is no longer associated with this team, and so I don't really care if is happy, sad, angry, etc with what the Jets have done. I don't care if he is impressed with what we have done, or angry at Idzik. I wish him the best except when he plays us, but I don't really care what he is up to anymore.
We have had a great offseason so far, I am going to focus on that and enjoy. May the draft and the season go equally well.

LOL He's so full of it that shit is seeping from his eyeballs Rex may have wanted Revis back but his statement why the front office would not have considered Revis is accurate. The benefit to upgrading their CBs by bringing in Revis would not have justified the cost. BUF has decent CBs and lacks the cap space we have. Bringing in Revis would have cost more money than they have to spend at the position and put filling other needs at risk. They knew if we pursued Revis, and we probably would, that we could afford to pay what would price Revis out of BUF's budget.

It fact it sounds like he is repeating verbatim what he was told by the front office when he pleaded for Revis

Who cares what Rex thinks? Get out of the past and look to the bright future!!! Ever look at your ex's Facebook page and laugh because she gained weight, works at a dead-end job and hasn't changed in the slightest? That's basically what it's like with Rex at this point. Not longing for the past, just basking in the moment.

Who cares what Rex thinks? Get out of the past and look to the bright future!!! How could you not care what Rex thinks? He was our head coach for six years and a dynamic personality, to boot. It's going to be impossible to ignore what he has to say.

Typical Rex philosophy......trade, big signing, trade, big signing, trade.
No thought for their cap situation, just a big push at free agents with big names and trade pieces.
I hope for his sake it works because he sure has he'll can't contribute to picking and developing talent outside of the 1st round.
Same staff, same ethos, same result to follow. So glad that quote joke coach is outta here.

That's more the Tanny philosophy Well it sure is a trend that follows Rex around, tanny was a puppet on a string for Rex, picked the man every god damn pick he wanted. He was also another scapegoat in the Rex Ryan saga, Sure Tanny had is faults and deserved to fall, but his biggest fault was letting his coach run the show. I now understand why everyone hated the Jets under Rex, I'm just embarrassed I fell for his act for so long, but I guess that's blind loyalty on my part.
