You're a terrible man 153 days and counting.... It's so boring. Actually it's not boring at all. What's boring is sitting in a bar all night talking to some bartender while she takes all my money. At least the whiskey is my friend. I thought you were on the wagon?

I am... it was a joke. 154 days sober. Good for you! I'm working on 8 months I've been thinking about resuming a moderate level of drinking after I complete 6 months but then I think about what the point of that would even be.... it's confusing sometimes. The struggle is real. If you ever had any doubt about how much power alcohol can have over you then try going dry for an extended period of time... and then add a few months to that. I try and rationalize this shit all the time. Are you going for any set number or just quitting for good?

I quit because I just felt really ill the day after drinking - plus I needed to lose a few pounds after I had shoulder surgery - once I'm down to an acceptable weight- I'll probably resume but on a limited level - I feel loads better since I quit - hoping Nebraska legalizes weed soon but that's a pipe dream (pun intended)

You know, I thought I'd lose a lot of weight from not drinking. But I only lost about 15 lbs .... I was expecting to average 10 a month. I'm kind of pissed about that but in all fairness to myself I did sustain a shoulder injury that has kept me from working out. Also I think I've probably lost more body fat and replaced it with muscle weight because although it seems like my weight stays the same people are constantly telling me that I look great and that I've lost a lot of weight.
