In my fucking crawlspace again. That's it. Fucking had it. Selling the house. Moving back to the country. Would rather deal with coyotes and raccoons. Done.

Perhaps block off the crawl space? Just thinkin outside the box here. Lmao. Yeah...I've been doing the best I can with all the snow on the ground. Big part of the problem is the hermit lady next door that feeds stray cats and leaves food out for them.

Cat/skunk food. All the same!
Do you know how they're getting in?

Cat/skunk food. All the same! Do you know how they're getting in? Yeah. Now I do. Luckily we got an inch of snow tonight and I was able to follow their tracks. What's weird is that we've noticed it a couple of times since last November when one of them sprayed bad...but we smell it at night. Skunks are nocturnal...so I'm thinking they're not living under the crawlspace but coming in for some reason. When I bought the place, I found a bottle of dog skunk smell shampoo under the kitchen sink. I'm thinking maybe the previous owners kept their garbage in the garage or something and the skunks remember.

There are no skunks in "the country". Believe it or not...But skunks prefer city living with all the abundance of garbage and food for them. Also, cities give them a place to live away from their natural predators...namely coyotes and especially hawks. The biggest interaction I had with skunks in the country was driving past their carcass on the side of the highway. I was able to evict the bastards last night. I sealed up around the crawlspace...And doused the ground with a couple canisters of pepper spray.

Yup. Never saw many skunks on LI or Bklyn but once I moved to the Hudson Valley, those mother f'ers are the bane of my existence. Sprayed the dog once, and Ive trapped countless skunks in my backyard. Fuckers move in and find any crawl space, or old groundhog burrow or whatever and then they have babies, and they stink up the joint. So yeah, they love the suburbs. Nice and safe, not many predators, lots of garbage.

Just another one of God's beautiful creatures. The seagull of the suburbs. Besides, the babies are sooooo cute!
