Good April Jets fans.....
on this day in 1965 former Jets T Jumbo Elliott was born in Lake Ronkonkoma NY.
Jumbo played for our Jets from 1996-2002.
one of my favourite memories is Jumbos TD catch in the Monday night Miracle game vs. Miami....
Happy Birthday Jumbo!!!!!

I remember watching it with my son..... and I remember Arnold Schwartzeneger saying that the game wasn't over even when Miami was up 31-7....
what a rush it was when we won....

I remember watching that game, too, and at the start of the 4th Q, I said to myself "If the Jets don't score on this possession, I'm going to bed". And they scored. Then I said "If Miami scores, I'm going to bed". And they held them. Then I said again "If the Jets don't score on this possession, I'm going to bed". And they scored. And on-and-on. Then the Jumbo catch. Awesome game. I was wired after that, didn't get to sleep until after 2am. |

Same......watched Sports Center highlites well into the morning after The game...
Dragging major ass the next day...but what a feeling basking in that win...
Its fun to Bask.....I'd like to bask more often..
