No, I'm hopeful that he'll be off the team next year because I believe he'll play badly. What part of that are you struggling with? I'm hopeful for X because I presume Y. That's not the same as hoping for Y. I can't believe I have to explain this to an adult. What I am hoping for is that he continues the incremental progress he made from Year 1 to Year 2, and that the combination of new coaching, better weapons, and another year of experience take his TD / INT ratios from 12 / 21 in 2013, 13 / 13 in 2014 to something like 19 / 10 in 2015. But I would presume neither that he'll play poorly or that he'll continue to make progress. I'll just wait and watch. Agreed. The lone positive that you can take from last season regarding Geno was that he finally had a receiver that even if covered one on one, that you could still throw the ball to him and trust that your receiver will make a play on the ball. He had that with Decker towards the end of the season, and giving a young struggling QB some receivers who can win 50/50 balls is essential. It makes their reads so much easier when all they have to do is identify the single man coverage and not necessarily wait and see if the receiver is "open". This year Geno has a second receiver that fits in that category with Marshall. Amaro can also be that type receiver for Geno if the staff uses Amaro the correct way and not like he was used last season. I have no doubt that from day one in OTAs and then in summer camp that Decker and Marshall will be telling Geno "just trust us" over and over again.

Percy was a decent addition. What was adding one chair to the titanic? It still doesn't change the fact the defense couldn't create turnovers and give the offense more opportunities and Percy Harvin is no where Brandon Marshall's level i'm sorry i'm basing it on talent and system. There's a reason Rex did not rehire MM in Buffalo or anyone hire him to be their oc for that matter. I love the shifting argument. First it was that Geno needed talent and now it's really the defense's fault for not creating turnovers. How is it the defense's fault that Geno threw with terrible accuracy, ran backwards to avoid sacks, couldn't read a clock, etc.? If you don't get how these things combined with a lack of experience will produce the expected results that we've gotten out of the QB position you really shouldn't be jumping into this conversation. To keep saying this is a shift in the argument is plain silly. No rookie or second year QB can produce given those circumstances. Doesn't prove that with help he's a star but has to be taken into account. Arguing hat with help he can't play better is plain stupid.
