Brady's "settlement" was probably something like $100K fine, no suspension. I'd respond to that with silence too. This is actually good news. Looks like Brady might not be so adamant on going to court (where phone records will be demanded) and that Roger isn't really considering no suspension. Hopefully he isn't considering lowering it at all either.

Brady should just give in and go full Caitlyn Jenner at this point. The only difference is that Caitlyn still has her penis.

It is believed Brady is holding firm on his refusal to accept any suspension, though he would consider accepting a fine. How can someone "refuse" to accept a suspension? Is he going to run out on the field anyway? He "would consider" a fine. Arrogant and a whiny baby all in one!

Just like the Flats* "We've conducted our own investigation and found we did nothing wrong" statement. These assholes think they can do whatever they want. And why would Brady "consider accepting a fine" instead of a suspension if he's all gung-ho about "fighting this because he's innocent?"

He and the Pats make it through the season/playoffs/Super Bowl and then he retires. 2 days after the SB, the court rules in favor of the NFL but it's too late to do anything about it.

Eh, tarnished legacy, Brady out of the league, I'd still be okay with that.

They can't possibly fine him enough for it to hurt. It would be like me paying a fine of four cents

Fuck you Brady you cheating scumbag fuck! I pray that the refs/goodell no longer protect you with allowing your O-Line to illegally hold on a grossly consistent basis. Lousy pussy.

Roger smiled and agreed, then went back to his hotel room where 3 hours later there was a knock on the door. Goodell opened it to see Tom Brady standing there in a dress. Shockingly, Goodell called the deal off.
