It sounds like the Halak injury is minor because he has been skating with the team and he can come off IR at any time since it was retroactive to the 20th. I think they just want to give Poulin a shot to see if he can shore up the B/U position because he has been playing well in the AHL this year.

Wow that's a disappointment. You gotta win those games vs shit teams. Yup. That sucked. Anyone else think it is time for Garth to make a move for a back-up goalie. Does not look like Poulin is the answer and it has not looked like Johnson is the answer either. We had a 3 goal lead heading into the 3rd and only gave up 6 shots. There is no way you can lose that game. Hopefully the lost point doesn't come back to haunt us. |

Listen, other teams blow three goal leads, too. Detroit did it a few weeks ago, and I think the Wild also pulled it off. But I don't think anyone does it as often as the isles do.
You still want Cappy for coach of the year?

Honestly I'm still baffled as to how a team can blow 3 goal third period leads as often as the Isles.
I mena, what the fuck is Cappy telling them during the second intermission? Whatever it is, he'd better start saying the opposite.

Saturday's game I would put squarely on the shoulders of Poulin. Buffalo barely controlled the puck in the 3rd, they only got 6 shots on goal, but they beat Poulin on every opportunity. When you have a 3 goal lead heading into the 3rd and your goalie only saves 3 of 6 shots, its on him. They need big bounce back win tonight to erase the stench of Saturday night. |

Fact still remains, no way you should allow 3 goals on 6 shots in a period. And, I think it was 3 consecutive shots.

Just finished watching the second period. With akit 6 minutes to go, I found myself rooting for the isles NOT to score a third goal.
