We have blown enough 3 goal third period leads to last a lifetime. And Hickey fucking blows. But we are tied for first....and as painful as it was, I'll take it. |

Great season so far, but this is scaring me -- I have no idea how good this team really is. Good teams may blow one or two multi goal leads in a season, but this is 4 in December. What the fuck is going on with this team? Is it Cappy? Is it the players? Boggles the mind how well this team can play then throw a switch and look like shit. |

Some of this has to be on the players. This team is built to attack 100% of the time and when they do they are special. I wish they would play the third period like it was a tie game.....and that is all on Cappy. We need to be winning games like this 5-1 instead of playing defensively. Attack....Attack...Attack...100% of the time. |

It's good that you guys are freaking out because every time you have this year, the team rolls off 4 or 5 wins in a row.
Washington has a ton of fire power. The real bad goal was when de Hann pinched and got burned on the second goal. These things happen. Missed the Buffalo debacle so have no idea what happened there, but do you really think Cappy is telling them to be passive with a lead? I tend to doubt it.
That said, I would really like to see more urgency on the power play. They pass the puck around in slow motion.

I'm on vacation so I haven't really watched any of these games but I foolishly stopped checking the scores both games as I thought they were in the bag. Clearly I was wrong.
Losing last night would have been devastating so I'm glad theygot the win but it really leaves a bad taste. Giving Wash an extra pt doesn't help either
And WPG is even bigger than the Caps - watch us get totally manhandled.

Good game. Isles generally capitalized on their scoring chances. Halak played great. PK still blows. DeHaan had a few WTF-r-u-doing moments.
Two more well needed points. On to Calgary.
WPG played a good game too. Would have been a lot closer if they could stay out of the box.

An aside, someone told me the A the alt. captain wears for the Flames is actually the A from the old Atlanta Flames logo.
Not sure if true, but something to watch for tomorrow.
