We played well enough to win (except for the PP), but Holtbu has been great these last two games. Little bit scary, you hate to run into the hot goalie in the playoffs, and it looks like thats what we have to deal with. |

Would it be too much to ask to stop using composite sticks? Did the box they came in have an ACME stamp on it?

PP is so damn frustrating to watch these days. Everything is around the perimeter. Our typical PP is to pass the puck around the outside of teh box and JT takes a sharp angle shot from to the left of the goalie. There is little to no movement, we don't try to move the puck across ice to get the defense or goalie moving laterally to open up a lane. Either we shoot from the point (which usually gets blocked) or we shoot from a sharp angle.
While I think for the most part they played a solid game, but what did they have 3 or 4 straight PPs in the 2nd and couldn't convert. 0-10 on the PP is not going to win many palyoff series. Good news is that we head back to Washington tied, but we could have been in a much better spot.

My imagination, or did it seem like the Isles broke more sticks than the Caps? JT seriously better consider changing his stick. |

Does Griffin Reinhart get the call in Game 5 assuming Viz is out?
Cappy sounded as pissed as I ever heard him last night in the post-game. Top lines were almost invisible last night.
I assume Grabovski will be in if he can go. Kennedy isn't the most skilled player, but at least he isn't afraid to put the puck on the net. Thats said, he only had 10 minutes on the ice, so I assume he will be a scratch. Should be interesting to see if Cappy tinkers beyond that.
