This tech is only going to get better - within a few years there will be cameras in the players helmets and teams will start hiring programmers to create virtual game situations. Could be very useful tech

Virtual reps? What the hell is that? Playing Madden? It sounds like some stupid shit too me. QB's just like any other player needs actual live reps but the current CBA is hurting players more than helping them and it's easy to see that the vets of the league are the only players that MIGHT benefit from it. God forbid common sense comes into play and a coach gives an established vet some days off and takes TC lightly on them. Once they put all of these limits on padded practices and OTA's it put every young player at a disadvantage, especially as it relates too developing them. The only good news in this constantly pussified league is that the players think the technology is helpful and that alone is why I'm glad the Jets are using it. I can't wait until the Olineman start using it to pick up the offside blitzer and stunts.

It's far superior to telling players to keep studying the playbook and less risky than constantly sending players out to do physical reps that wears on the body or risks injury. It's not a substitute for either but it is another opportunity to develop players.
I'd love the coaches to order Geno to use the equipment on a regular basis to work on his decision-making. He already knows how to throw a ball and run but he needs help with decision-making and there's no reason why he can't do that without wearing down his body.

This is taking "mental reps" to a whole 'nother level.

Geno should be using this thing for 4 hours a day until he can actually practice again.

glass jaw Geno should be using this thing for 4 hours a day until he can actually practice again. Not sure if you're kidding but in all honesty that's 100% what something like this would be good for - keep a player on the field when they physically cannot be on the field
