In my lifetime I dont think there will ever be a greater example of the state of humanity than 9/11. From the sheer evil to the tremendous benevolence that followed. +1 Funny thing, my posts regarding JW's posts were made during a journey back north from a trip all the way the fvck down south. Made the posts, packed up and left my hotel. Same morning...in friggen Roanoke Virginia, I get a huge nail in one of my tires and thankfully I notice the leak before the tire failed and I was near a repair shop. As I'm waiting for the tire to be replaced another customer notices my NY plates and starts bullshyting. Turns out he was a National Guardsman who was sent to Manhattan shortly after 9/11. All he could do was gush about how well he was treated, how NY'ers didnt deserve their poor reputation...and how honored he was to be there, though he was away from his family and friends. Weird, but karma I guess. -

I wish I shared your optimism It didn't last long. Then everyone went back to being brainwashed fuckwits. But for a min there, maybe besides the sars of the world, people had mad respect for each other, even deep in the hood where many people don't belong, it was all good. It was pretty surreal. bittersweet. I look forward to reading jetswin's stories again in a few weeks if he is so inclined to share. What a fucked up day. And then our leaders sold us out and well we all know where we're at now. Bushes and Clintons. unreal
